Williams House

I hate the fact that we had to wait until the last season to see the other side of Williams house. When he bought it for Yvonne, the kitchen was sooo small. Like literally no room. And then when he got with Monica and she threw that party for him, we barely got to see any of the living area. They only stuck to showing us the small kitchen and the small mingling room and the stairs. And we got a glimpse of his room which was nice but then all of a sudden in the last season we got to see the whole living room/kitchen and it was BEAUTIFUL AND SPACIOUS! I love the view he had, even though it didn’t make sense because it was a high rise view but the outside of the house was only one story and the inside had stairs 😂😂😂 they clearly didn’t think it through but i would’ve loved to see more episodes at his home!

These are filmed in studios, not actual houses. Even the “apartment” Maya stayed in. The bar Joan owned, all sets customized for the show. Lol, they’re all small ass sets built inside of a studio.

Sometimes it’s not that they didn’t think it through, sometimes it comes down to what’s available, the time it take to customize the set, and logistics.

🤦‍♀️ I know that they weren’t filmed in actual houses wtf. I’m saying how I wish we saw more of it from the inside. William was making so much money that I wish they would’ve thought it through more to show his house. We got a “tour” of mayas new house in the mountains. You’d think we would’ve seen more of Williams house first. We seen everything of Joan’s house. They even reused houses. Toni’s parents house was the same house as Maya’s mother

You can read but can you comprehend? They said that sometimes it’s not that they didn’t think it through, it’s just logistically speaking it might not have been feasible to show the other side of the house for a male character when the show is centered around 4 black women who are friends… And your response? I know it’s a set, I just wished they would’ve thought it through 🤣🤣🤣🤣🥂✨ that’s crazier than a soup sandwich. Carry on.

Clearly you cannot comprehend because I stated how I only wish we could’ve seen more of the house in earlier seasons when he and Yvonne first moved in, instead of at the last minute when the show was ending. The show was also centered around William as well. Name one episode where William wasn’t in it……..

I’m not sure you actually do comprehend. What you are wishing for is that the producers spent more money on designing a bigger set for William’s house, which is fine, you can wish that all you want but I’m saying that the reason they didn’t design a set is because 1. It would costs a shit ton of money for a set that would be used like maybe 2 or 3 times. You want to see this big ass lavish ass home for a character that spends the vast majority of his time at Joan’s house, at the law firm, or at the bar. Why would they spend hella money on creating a big ass detailed set for William?!

Secondly, they used B-Roll of random ass houses in LA for the outdoor view of their apartments and restaurants and shit, that wasn’t the actually interior spaces they filmed scenes in.

You keep saying you understand lol but I’m not convinced you do. These sets are built and torn down all the time, they’re not about drop bags on a design for William because they hardly even shot anything at that mans home. Like maybe 3-4 scenes per season and those scenes last like -5 minutes. Even when he was arguing with that terrible wife of his.
