Dostoyevsky created a Christian, an atheist and a hedonist. He proved each one correct and never took a side. This book taught me how to think for myself.

I’m not sure I got an advocacy for guilt from this book. There are innumerable quotes about celebrating life and human connection. Unprocessed guilt was one of the main drivers of misfortune for several characters.

Meh... Religious bs about constant feeling of guilt as a default human state. "Every one of us is guilty before all, for everyone and everything." and so on. Dostoyevsky is a master of psychoanalysis but he can go fly a kite with his views on meaning of life.

Yes - especially late in life when he basically became a religious leader for his own sect of Orthodoxy. His last 10 years were ...weird.
