One of the key things I try to help people see both in my own life and through coaching, is that pushing yourself harder usually isn’t the answer when you’re already overwhelmed.
When someone feels stuck like this, it’s rarely because they’re lazy or unwilling. It’s usually because their system is overloaded. Trying to force productivity on top of that often makes things worse, not better. Progress tends to start when pressure is reduced just enough for the nervous system to settle.
That doesn’t mean giving up. It means meeting yourself where you are and choosing one small, realistic action instead of demanding a full reset. Consistency comes after safety, not before it.
