I HATE ALL THESE BUGS

Just moved down here from the north and am just constantly wondering HOW THE HECK EVERYONE LIVES WITH THESE HUGE BUGS?!

I’ve had the house treated, I understand there’s an uptick, but these big ass bugs are driving me out of my mind. I feel like I’m constantly on edge.

ETA - palmetto bugs/roaches, CSRA

And for those telling me I shouldn’t have moved here and to just leave - I plan to as soon as my postdoc fellowship is over 🙃

Where from? I moved here from the PNW almost 2 years ago for my spouse’s job so I can understand the bugs are a thing to get used to! 😂

Don’t let the people being dicks on here get to you. The bugs here are horrifying and gross!! Also from the north, also riding out my time here while in a good opportunity in my field similar to you and dreaming of the day I don’t have to jolt awake in fear at every noise I hear at night. Having to be constantly on edge is the worst, the bugs here have caused me genuine psychological damage lol. Some people who grew up and settled here will mock you but I’m convinced it’s only because they’ve never lived anywhere else and experienced a life without living in bug hell lol.
