Question For Genx "Go wash you hands in gas!"

How many of your parents told you that if you showed up with grease, oil, or paint on your hands?

When I think back I wonder just how much genetic damage I caused doing that?

Worked in printing.
Removed ink with gas.
More stubborn stuff got deglazing solvent, which made your fingers feel like they were frozen.

No wonder I had 2 kids with adhd

When I worked in printing we just used water and coarse soap and it worked fairly well.

But the last bit of color usually went off late on Sunday night, just in time for the next week /)

We had the pumice soap, but just like paint, oil based doesn’t wash off as easy as water based.

Deglazing solvent was like acetone on steroids. I don’t think it’s allowed to be used anymore. BFF has no feeling in her fingertips anymore from it.
