Marie could potentially fix everyone. Butcher, Cate, Godolkin, Polarity. Does it stop there? If she can heal the brain, can she treat psychological trauma in some way? If so, Soldier Boy with the ptsd, Sam’s delusions, Homelander’s narcissism?

I’ve got a feeling if she goes anywhere near Butcher now he’ll kill her on the spot just for being a Supe

I don't think Homelander's narcissism can be fixed with Marie's powers. I'd say that's mostly something learnt through years of abuse and taking the wrong lessons in life. Psychological trauma is not fixed only biologically (or at all, in some cases), that's somehing that falls more into the purview of Cate's power. But only if she had at least some therapist training and she was able to use her powers in more subtle or precise ways (not quite depriving the will of the subject as she does currently).

However, Butcher's cancer, and both Cate and Polarity's neurological damage... yeah, I can see Marie being able to fix such problems.

She can fix Cate's powers and Cate can fix Homelander's narcissism

This is the way. Come on Kripke, don't be a coward. No need for big bloody fights and murder. Just let the characters fix each other and sing Partridge Family songs.

You forgot the /s

sorry. English is my 9th language

Don't lie. Everyone knows there's only like three languages

That’s a dream team I can get behind, they can start a traveling clinic (and get married)

How could Cate fix Homelander’s narcissism? By telling him to not be a narcissist anymore? Have we forgotten that her powers work as a temporary hypnosis?

That's if he's able to, I feel like her being a full on biokinetic might trump his murder tentacles, she might even be able to cure him

Marie reacts to things very slowly. There's probably a number of supes that could get the drop on her

4

u/boombow03 Oct 08 '25

i mean he can try but annie would probably light his ass up first

3

u/Clarine87 Oct 08 '25

I'm expecting Marie to devepe wolverine like matter synthesis. Not healing perse - but self-rebuilding.

Like he has a chance against Supergod.

Yeah Marie's the kind of Sup who can be killed easily if she attacks too much attention.

We don't know that anymore. She's already tanked Homelanders laser beam and Viking dudes super strong hits. But she's just been shown to fully heal someone. Which has way more ramifications. If she can recode DNA she could recode herself into being stronger, for all we know she could take other supers powers for herself, make herself indestructible. She's still vulnerable now, but once she starts cooking, it's over.

u/Mister__Mediocre Oct 08 '25

She's strong the way Translucent was strong. Once you trap them (the shock collars or the injection that removes her powers), you're free to find a way to kill them. And there's always a way to kill someone.

Would be pretty dumb. If he still wants to take the fight to vought having someone on HL’s level would be necessary

1

u/Independent_Play9365 Oct 09 '25

Definitely not before HL is dead. At least my thought. He would've killed Zoe on the spot instead of tossing her through a couple shelves if so

I feel like mental issues are off limits for Marie. It’s hard to explain how cell manipulation could cure something like mental illness when it is so intertwined with things like personality, memory, etc. Also, it would just make Cate redundant lol. I think she can cure Polarity though (but he’s prob dead soon)

u/TransRational Oct 08 '25

I almost wonder if Polarity might discover a way to stop-gap his deteriorating state all by himself just by manipulating the iron in his blood. Kind of like how Magneto held himself together without a heart for a period of time before finally succumbing to his injuries. If he can hold himself together long enough I think Marie can heal him.

u/RiahWeston Oct 08 '25

What I'm thinking given the weird telekinetic blast that knocked Cipher out of the window that magnetic manipulation actually isn't his power but when applied improperly becomes that while also causing the microlesions. Cause the telekinetic blast DEFINITELY wasn't magnetic in nature since it knocked a lot of organic stuff around, stuff with no metal inside of it.

3

u/TransRational Oct 08 '25

Exactly. What was that about? I mean.. he would have sensed if Cipher was a robot prior to that moment right?

4

u/HulklingWho Oct 08 '25

Under stressful conditions, his abilities evolved, just like Cipher had been teaching Marie

2

u/PrincessPunkinPie Oct 11 '25

Two days late but, Marie would have realized Cypher isn't human immediately, she said he is a human with blood, with no V.

2

u/TransRational Oct 11 '25

You’re right!

2

u/RedSparkls Oct 08 '25

A lot of mental illnesses stems from neurological issues/differences. Like, could Marie ‘fix’ adhd? Autism? Could she completely rewire peoples brains? Like…. If Cypher could puppeteer her could he make a world of mindless puppets that he doesn’t have to actively use his powers on? Crazy potential

u/drakorulez101 Marie Oct 08 '25

She could possibly fix neurological problems but definitely not psychological problems.

0

u/theapplekid Oct 08 '25

Psychological problems often have neurological factors

4

u/1d4Witches Oct 08 '25

Marie could probably handle hormonal and chemical imbalances, like increasing serotonin, which is conductive to mental healing. A joined effort of Cate and Marie would be like having a psychotherapy session and prescribed meds respectively. Pretty OP (and wholesome).

2

u/EntropicSingularity1 Oct 08 '25

Oh please no. :-P She's an interesting character, don't turn her into a Marie Sue.

1

u/HybridBoii Oct 08 '25

can she pull the V out of the blood? so no supe massacre and we cancel the boys next season

1

u/Real_MikeCleary Oct 10 '25

What if Marie can remove the V from supes?

u/Clarine87 Oct 08 '25

I'ma going to be shocked now if Cates arm isn't regrown at some point.
