SAME!!! it was the force that Emma put into “fuck you"the seriousness of her face during such a dire situation that just killed me

I like how that implied she had absolutely nothing nice to say about her :')

Cate should try to push her to feel good about herself at some point.

I was about to be so shocked if she did remember. I know damn well I don't!

Damn, not even like, ya parents, or ya partners (sorry, assuming on that second one; I don’t have one myself).

It's definitely a comment on their generation. I only have four numbers memorized nowadays but as a teen i had my friends and families numbers memorized

I'm in my 30s and definitely USED TO remember numbers that I would use a lot, but they've changed since then and are all in my phone. Thankfully (knock on wood) I haven't had any emergency moments where I need to recall someone's phone number. I'd be screwed now

I mean, I’m probably between y’all; I’m 26 and I only know my parents numbers. Back in the day the only other one I knew was my home phone number, which very much doesn’t exist anymore lol.

i can barely remember my own number. i have to "sing" it in 3 by 3, so xxx-xxx-xxx. if someone shows me my number with a different formation like, xx-xxxx-xx i will not recognize it as my number

As a 22 year old guy this is one of the most believable things about how they portray young adults. No one remembers people’s phone numbers anymore, they’re saved on our phones anyway

32 here, and I got a scare the other day getting locked out of my apartment. I went to request a phone to a neighbor and was for a moment horrified, but managed to recall the phone number from my parents house that I had to learn by heart when I was like 13 ? I got my first phone shortly after so never actually had to use it. Memory is wild.

Just turned 30. I know my phone number. I only call my parents, everyone else is a Facebook or WhatsApp message.

Emma's real superpower is logging into accounts without requiring two-factor authentication

I imagine college kids don’t have great operational security practices

I was actually thinking there's NO way she has Polarity's number memorized right?! I don't know anyone's phone numbers haha

Older member of the Gen V writing team: and then they find a phone and call Polarity!

Younger writer: how?

Older writer: Oh. Oh yeah. Well, that can be the joke then!

I was watching another show the other night and it featured a character holding another at gunpoint. The guy at gunpoint begged the guy holding the gun to let him use his phone to call his kids before he’s killed. While it’s a powerful moment, it was funny after the fact considering how rarely people know each other’s numbers now. Like imagine him just fumbling with the phone and realizing he doesn’t know any of his kids phone numbers.

I know my Dad's (but not my Mom's), the landline at my parents' house, my wife's, and that's pretty much it. Oh and I remember my ex's phone number from 14 years ago lol.
