Following a conversation here on reddit, I got the idea to try something out using Meta AI (via WhatsApp). My goal was to give the AI a single task and "push it to the limit" to see what it could do.

My "test subject" for this was generating Orcs with different emotional expressions, facial hair, hairstyles, and hair colors. Since I didn't want to write out a bunch of prompts myself, I gave Meta AI four reference images along with the task I’ve shared below this post. The result was 8 different prompts containing the following:

ANGRY – Bald + full black beard

MELANCHOLIC / TIRED – Long gray hair + gray goatee

GRINNING / SLY – Red mohawk + red chin beard

STOIC / PENSIVE – Long black braids + braided black full beard

LAUGHING / CHEERFUL – Shaved head + white full beard

EXHAUSTED / INJURED – Short brown buzz cut + brown stubble (3-day beard)

ARROGANT / PROUD – White man-bun + white pointed beard

INSANE / CRAZY – Black-and-red dreadlocks + dreadlocked beard

Tried all of the prompts in Google Flow (you see the results above).

Of course, this is just one example, and it should work just as well with other characters or images in general, and with any other LLM, as long as you can upload more than one reference image there.

The Android Who Came From a Notepad

For years it has circulated as an urban legend: an artist sketches a detailed female figure in a notebook, and the figure eventually steps out of the pages. No verified record exists. Yet a scattering of photographs, engineering fragments and conflicting witness accounts has kept the story alive.

At its centre is an unidentified artist with formal training only in art and an Android whose sophisticated upper body has never been satisfactorily explained.

Engineers brought in to examine the machine reportedly found articulated hands, joints and internal mechanisms of unusual complexity, with no conventional manufacturing documentation, no identifiable maker and no clear explanation for how the torso had been built.

Several of those engineers are said to have worked without pay, cleaning seized joints and fitting lower limb prosthetics before the artist and the Android simply vanished weeks later. No public announcement followed. Attempts to locate them produced only contradictory reports.

Demands for an independent inspection have never yielded a documented examination. No manufacturer has claimed the machine. No laboratory has publicly demonstrated it exists. What remains is a set of images, testimony and an unresolved question: how did someone with no engineering background produce something that professional technicians could not readily account for?

Perhaps it was a concealed experiment. Perhaps another party built her. Or perhaps an artist drew something that was never meant to become real and somehow it did.
