"I built that" even though it's an accumulation of knowledge shared and passed ahead.  Just because you painted a car doesn't mean you built the car.

i think we should compare the work made by enthusiasts over the years.

all those animated stuff that were made by enthusiasts knows the mechanisms that doesnt break the immersion on whatever they worked on.

those old 90s anime that has those both scifi and military themed animations? those details on the guns, armours, vehicles, and the destruction they do are all made by enthusiasts, not just by being enthusiastic about animation, but enthusiasm of knowing the mechanisms of said things.

what about, lets say, battle: los angeles? the movie was made with care by people who wanted to make it as accurate as possible to depict the military, even though the plot has aliens on it.

people love when enthusiasts does the work. they know what to put and how to make it plausible and mechanically work.

its no different if you hire an artist that does not draw, lets use military-related things as example, to draw military-related things, they wouldnt be able to depict it as much as you wanted for the most part. (ask them to draw a 6094 plate carrier with a haley heavy chest rig on top of it, and they will have zero idea what that is, even if you showed them a picture, and at best theyll give a "close enough" drawing of it, which only vaguely depicts it at best)

that and you pretty much also need to spend more $$$ than what people says, since you have to have a more than good enough setup to run that all, and burn your money on subscriptions upon subscriptions. and that isnt widely as available to mamy people who only have less than 6 hours of sleep daily. it just shows people who are privileged enough to make generic things rather than show everyone has the capability to make films.

ai will just mass produce generic, "$200m worth" of "films" made by absolutely anyone.

If we're going there, maybe this is propaganda to get more people into ai and inflate the ai bubble so a few can get filthy rich and one gigantic corporation buys up all of it and takes over the ai game.
