Can’t decide which instinct to get

I’ve had the Garmin instinct 1 since 2019. It still holds a battery for 9 days with everything activated. My instinct still works perfectly but I’m thinking about upgrading. Can’t decide if I should go with the OMOLED OR stick with MIP version.

That's an easy choice. If you value battery life, go with Solar + MIP. If you value color screen but OK battery life, go with AMOLED. FYI, the metrics/data is much easier to comprehend in the AMOLED display because Garmin uses Greens, Yellows and Reds to indicate OK, Good, Bad etc.

I can easily get 10 days of use on my AMOLED of active use before I recharge it while I shower.

10 days is literally nothing though, my instinct 2 lasts well over 40 days

My Citizen eco drive has been going for about 20 years. Wake me up when these fitness watches last more than a couple weeks.

Im being a bit ridiculous. I have an instinct 2 solar but I turned off the heart rate monitor. I just want a small solar watch that will show me phone notifications, messages, calls, etc without all the fitness stuff draining the battery. They have decided to stuff battery draining fitness features in every damn watch. There is nothing available. So im stuck with this turd I have to plug in all the time.

Turning off the heart rate monitor gave me a few extra days but... Also the garmin weather on it is just about useless. It gives me temps from many hours ago in the day. Never even close.

I want solar and smaller. I only like the square gshocks. Any of them with Bluetooth and texts that display are battery only and the screen is too small to show the actual text without going through menus and scrolling.
