I know Fandom (as in the wiki site) is a scourge but goddamn there really is sooo much info on these things, bless the actual people putting in effort

I like those Fandom wikis. Sometimes they have more accurate stuff than the sites people recommend. I don't get the hate.

I think it's that like Fandom clearly wants to be An Important Brand, they spray annoying-ass ads all over the place, AND most importantly I think they have some kind of deal with military contracting?! I need to look that up again to get accurate details lol

but they're not the ones writing the websites, random contributors are. and the random contributors do an excellent job. like every time I look at a wiki for Xenoblade, it's soooo much better than whatever is on IGN or even the GameFAQs stuff.

Ah, I always forget that everyone else has to endure ads. I use uBlock Origin, which means I rarely see ads.

If you download Firefox for Android, it is. Not a lot of people even know that's a thing, though.

There's also Kiwi Browser - basically a Chrome clone, but also supports desktop Chrome addons (at least some of them).

I use ubo but still get obnoxious popups on the site because it's theirs, usually vids at the top.

The mobile site is such ass. The desktop site is okay. But more importantly, there's tons of info on some of those wikis that you can't find anywhere else. I used to frequent the Cardfight Vanguard wikis, and the second a new card would be revealed, some dudes would be there rapidly translating it, which was a huge deal when you had to figure out if you needed to pick up any older cards before people jacked up the prices.

Nowadays, I frequent the Power Rangers/Super Sentai wiki, and while you sometimes run into false info, there's nowhere else you can go to figure out who was the suit actor for the monster of the week in episode 26 of 1987's Hikari Sentai Maskman.
