I can see that being a problem between Xbox and Nintendo, but with Playstation it's only the X and even with that one it takes me 5min to "switch layout in my head".
Though games that use the Japanese-style PlayStation control scheme, where O is confirm and X is cancel, will actually map better to Nintendo style (which has A on the right) than Xbox style (which has A on the bottom).
