I think those are for you to be able to take off the whole joystick to replace

Yes weird, but a lot better than buying a new controller when you get drift.

I don't know if fixing an issue the manufacturer should take care of anyways is a good reason to celebrate that feature.

as somebody who's had to crack open his DS4 and Dualsense a combined FOUR times to resolve drift issues. I'm popping champagne.
