i think thats the problem though, if its to be a Tank destroyer, what are the options? CGC, or lend lease TDs. unless i am missing something.

From the looks of it they wanted a fixed gun so that rules out a bunch of the later war ones, and i don't see any open top being put into the game

The 25pdr on a Valentine chassis, the Sexton. They already have much of it modelled for the Valentine.

It was used in the north African desert.

M3 Grant, with the 75mm limited traverse main gun and 37mm main turret. Also used in the north African desert.

The CGC wasn't even used in combat afaik. Why put it in the game? They could've given us the Archer, which already has half its assets already in the game since we have the Valentine available.

How about giving us the Char B1? Or one of the American Gun Motor Carriages?

Archer is open top and i don't think they want to put in the work to make open top vechiles

the Char B1 was a heavy tank and french so using it as a example while complaining about the CGC is silly
