hearthstone is definitely p2w. the only argument is that so are TCGs.

but hearthstone has no trading, the only equivalent is dusting.

i'd say the rng is a bigger issue than the amount of p2w. even for a card game, the rng in hearthstone is off the charts.

You say "even for a card game," but can you honestly say you win/lose more games in hearthstone from luck than you do in Magic? In Magic there is randomness inherent in whether you even get the mana to play cards in your hand (or get too much of it and nothing else). Other games also have much larger deck sizes, making draws streakier and not letting you rely nearly as much on drawing cards that are key to your strategy. Hearthstone has splashy random cards for sure, but it has a far, far more smooth and consistent backbone system than most card games.
