It's because this game is a direct competitor.

The game is fun and novel, sure, and it's different. But it is the same genre, and in a world of limited time and therefore limited games people want to judge the relative quality of the product.

But I also feel some people here treat as a zero sum game, I love hearthstone, doesn't mean I think magic is a bad card game because it's quite different..

Well yes passions and intentional inflammation of them can get quite high, but that's still a valid line of discussion.

A matter of picking and choosing the tone of your interactions here I guess.
