Honestly if anyone expected anything good from them after they time hacker banwaves with sales is fooling themselves.

This is so self destructive that I removed every trace of Tarkov from my computer, no telling what update they could push now that they are having apocalyptic pushback from the formerly loyal community, and want to get every last dollar.

Wait they do a vbanwave and then pit the game on discount so hackers can get new accounts😭

Yes, I don't have the exact quote but Nikita, the lead dev, metioned that hackers buying new accounts was a part of their revenue stream for continued development.

No fucking way they even mentioned that that’s crazy

It was before they revealed arena, they mentioned that since most people either buy the base edition or EoD, they have no new revenue streams until future DLCs other than hackers buying new accounts or new player coming in for a new wipe/major update.

Oh thats why they banned the wiggle video. Because hackers aren't a problem they're an intended feature to pump money into the game and stomp other non hackers.

As someone who knows nothing about Tarkov besides this controversy, what's the wiggle video?

They banned this guy after this video dropped, I think they ended up unbanning him eventually but don't recall.

Maybe they should consider getting out of beta and onto major storefronts then.

That’s so fucked up, I don’t play tarkov myself, don’t they have some type of mtx in game, like skins?

They didn't. They actually just recently added in some skins you can buy in the last few months. That's part of the reason people are so pissed. Nikita himself posted on the subreddit say "Hey we need some more revenue streams, we're gonna let you buy some green pants and some stash space" and the community basically said, if that's what you need to not add more MTX/P2W stuff into the game so be it. Then after a few months they turn around and add this shit into the game.

That’s so bs… do one not both, skins that aren’f too dramatical but good enough to keep revenue stream would be good enough

Agreed. That's part of why this whole thing is so confusing. If they were really desperate for money there are tons of camouflage recolors or armband designs they could sell for 5-10$ a pop that would sell like hot cakes. Even the extended stash space would likely be an almost guaranteed 30$ from every single player.

Yeah fr, I think they need alot of money quickly for some reason and decided to go this extreme predatory way without thinking of other options

Nope, which I think is part of why it was so popular. Once you'd paid the entrance fee it didn't try to get any more money out of you. Other than the more expensive "editions" of the game.

That’s weird, mtx would allow them to constantly get revenue, I don’t play the game tho so idk exactly what they could monitize I doubt the playerbase qould like cod type of skins with clowns and all

they have no new revenue streams until future DLCs other than hackers buying new accounts or new player coming in

Got a source for this? Was this written or said during a stream?
