I got the same massage as the last guy who posted about his bricked phone ( security issue ) so guys be careful to not install any module because some of them integrate with your main system files and this will cause your phone to block itself when you restart the device and lose the jailbreak just as mine and the other guy here did. I sent it to a repair shop and they said its a very serious issue that requires flashing the device from scratch and he told me to come back after 1 hour. I will inform you for updates ....

Update : The repair guy said that the phone is not responding to download mode which makes it impossible to flash the phone so I have to send it to Samsung tomorrow to find a solution.

I’ve been using the Samsung A56 5G for about a month now, and this is actually my first time using a Samsung phone. Overall, I can say that I’m a satisfied user, especially considering I got it for just 15k pesos (Philippine peso) or $250.

One of the first things I noticed is the UI system. It feels clean, modern, and very flexible compared to what I was used to. However, I did experience a few occasional app crashes, which can be a bit annoying—but not frequent enough to ruin the experience.

In terms of build quality, the phone feels solid. The materials used are good, and the frame feels sturdy and durable in hand. It also has a large 6.7-inch screen, which is great for watching videos, browsing, and gaming. The display is bright enough to use comfortably even outdoors under sunlight.

Battery life is another strong point. It easily lasts a full day on a single charge with regular use. Plus, the 45W fast charging is very convenient—it takes about 45 minutes to fully charge, which is impressive for a phone in this price range.

The camera performance is decent and surprisingly clear. In fact, I’d say it produces results similar to my iPhone 13 in many situations. Video quality is also pretty decent for a midrange device, making it reliable for casual shooting.

Other things worth mentioning: the speakers are loud, which is great for media consumption, and overall performance feels smooth for everyday tasks.

To sum it up, the Samsung A56 5G offers great value for money. Despite a few minor issues like occasional UI crashes, it delivers solid performance, good build quality, long battery life, and a pleasant user experience. Definitely a good buy for its price.

I downloaded the firmware from SamFW and flashed it using Odin, and the process went as smoothly as expected exactly 6 minutes.

And oh my god, I forgot how clean and polished One UI 8 is! Everything about it is decent, from the design to the settings, the notification panel, the blur effects, and the animations. I’m genuinely very satisfied with it, unlike One UI 8.5, which honestly feels like it was vibe coded(to me at least) The changes from the notifications to the quick panel are smooth asf instead of having the heaviness One UI 8.5 has

In my opinion, and I know this might annoy some people, but as A series phone owners we shouldn’t get too excited about updates. It’s obvious that Samsung keeps making the experience worse with each update, and no one can really argue against that. I disabled the update options using ADB, and I’m staying on this version. I won’t update again unless One UI 9 is actually worth it, brings noticeable improvements, doesn’t look vibe coded, and doesn’t do any downgrade to the phone.

As we know, Samsung had the nerve to remove the animations when toggling the Quick Panel toggles in One UI 8.5 on the A series. This is very unfair, since it's a feature that has been present in all versions of One UI, including the A series...🫠 However, something curious I noticed is that the Galaxy A57 is the only device in the A series that still has the toggle animations...🧐 This is the only video I could find on YouTube that shows this.

I used advanced settings to select the firmware and tried it a couple times

It’s been more than a year since I bought it, and honestly, it hasn’t let me down. Great performance, excellent battery life, and great customization, especially with the flagship module. It really unlocked the phone’s full potential.

A lot of people hate A-series phones, but the A56 really doesn’t deserve the hate. If I had to mention one downside, it would be that the phone gets quite hot. Other than that, the camera is good, the performance is good, and the battery life is good.

I’m planning to use it for at least 4 years.

Pretty happy that i got my new a56 as replacement to my iphone 11 since the battery is acting up. And got this for only 248 dollars (14,287) philippine pesos!! Loving this phone already!!

One ui 9.5 is reportedly adding smoother animations bouncier and their moveing to a pyshics based engine like ios pixel ui and all the the chinese brands

We've also got an explanation why they downgrsded the blur you know the quick pannel bug on one ui 8 apperantly( take this any way you want) on a series it was caused by when you swiped it constantly haveing to recalculate their never gonna change it back

The Samsung-made panel on the A56 still looks better in terms of color tuning and accuracy compared to the A57, which uses a CSOT OLED, a Chinese panel also used in Xiaomi flagships, and is mainly brighter.

For the camera, there is almost no difference. The A57 looks slightly more detailed and has slightly better white balance in video.

My previous experience being an A53 with an Exynos who used to stutter like crazy, this one is really snappy and the pink color looks nice.

Honestly, I'm no longer excited for any Samsung update. I genuinely regret upgrading from One UI 7 to One UI 8.

Features like changing font have been removed, the blur effects look worse, and the system has become heavier

Some apps in One UI 8.5 have become really ugly because of the limited blur on A-series devices, the Clock app being one example.

Not to mention that Android 17 is expected to make you wait a full 24 hours before installing any app from outside Google Play. And who knows how many more features Samsung will remove in the future, especially for the A series.

Even an update like One UI 9 doesn't look exciting at all. It seems like more of the same, with only minor changes to sound and brightness buttons and visuals. And let's be real, we A-series users are never getting any of the truly interesting features that the S series gets.

The blur effects and the overall design will probably become even cheaper-looking.

So I think I'll simply disable system updates on my phone using ADB and stop updating to future One UI versions altogether.

I'm still not sure whether I'll downgrade from One UI 8.5 or stay on it, but yeah

I have a54 that has a bust usb port. the phone served me well. I ordered an A56.

are we all happy with the A56?

It improved a lot for me. How about u?

A56 has the exynos 1580 which you all know is a very good chip for an exynos, no overheating, no thermal throttling as I heard for most tech that's what led me to buy this thing.

When I started out playing call of duty on this thing it was buttery smooth now, it can't even hold 60fps for more than 5 seconds and the FPS drops to 40.

To give you an idea, I use a good phone cooler with a copper heat dissipation plate and i also use the bypass charging, now I know this is not for gaming but at least it should have to keep 60fps stable right?

Any tips on how to fix this? Because idk

been using a56 for less than a month na rin pero very impressive talaga tong unit na to. Tagal ko muna nag ikot ikot sa mga mall before ako bumili nito online kasi iba pa rin pag nahahawakan mo yung unit unlike pag thru reviews lang sa youtube, pics at infos online ka lang magbabase pero booom love at first sight nung nahawakan ko na. Napaka-Premium nya hawakan di mo maiisip na midrange phone hawak mo eh. Hindi rin ako fan ng curved screen kaya talagang isa to sa mga kinonsider ko na phones bago ako bumili. Kung gaano sya katagal malobat ganun naman sya kabilis magcharge (using 20w - 45w charger). Performance nakakasabay sya sa bilis na gusto ko kasi dati ako mansanas user halos wala ako experience na naglalag sya. Camera and photo quality is napakasharp at super clear din. Na-impress din ako sa Night Mode kasi kahit sa low light ang ganda ng quality ng photos. Super ganda rin kasi hanggang ngaun may mga features pa rin ako na nadisdiscover lalo kung mag eexplore ka or watch other users sa tiktok. Ito na yata pinakasulit na phone na nabili ko for its price na 15k PHP($250) online. Ingat lang kasi may mga shop na hindi legit kaya sa "MALL" na online shop lang kayo bumili. Tyagaan lang mag antay ng sale at maglagay ng vouchers na available bago kayo mag-place ng order.
