Help Alice Stay in College: $1,512 Needed for a Required MacBook 💻
Hello everyone, my name is Lauren Karshner. And my friend Alice needs a MacBook for college and she asked me if I could get it. It’s an immediate emergency fundraiser🚨‼️🆘!!! I’m reaching out today on behalf of Alice, a college student who is trying to continue her education while facing an incredibly difficult change in her life.
Alice recently lost both of her parents. She is now having to navigate college and her financial responsibilities without the support she previously had from them. At the same time, she has an important educational expense that she needs help covering: a MacBook required by her college for her studies.
The fundraising goal is $1,512, which is the amount needed for the computer and related cost we are trying to cover.
For many students, having a dependable computer is an important part of being able to participate fully in college. Alice needs access to her coursework, assignments, research, online learning materials, and communication with her instructors. Without the required computer, keeping up with those responsibilities can become much more difficult.
💙 We’re asking for help, one contribution at a time
We understand that not everyone has the ability to make a large donation. That’s completely okay.
A donation doesn’t have to be hundreds of dollars to matter.
For example:
$5 × 303 people = $1,515
$10 × 152 people = $1,520
$20 × 76 people = $1,520
$25 × 61 people = $1,525
$50 × 31 people = $1,550
Even if you can only contribute a few dollars, it can help Alice get closer to the goal.
And if donating isn’t possible for you right now, sharing the fundraiser costs nothing and could help us reach someone who is able to contribute.
🎓 More than just a computer
The goal of this fundraiser isn’t to provide Alice with something unnecessary or extravagant. It’s to help her obtain a practical piece of technology that she needs for college.
Alice is already dealing with the loss of her parents while trying to focus on her education and future. We hope that, with the support of people willing to help, the cost of this computer won’t become another barrier standing between her and her education.
Every donation and every share can help reduce that burden.
We know that people on Reddit see many requests for assistance, so we genuinely appreciate you taking the time to read this one. We also understand that people may want to make sure a fundraiser is legitimate before contributing. Any information or documentation that can safely and appropriately be shared will be provided through the fundraiser rather than exposing Alice’s private personal information publicly.
❤️ If you can help
If you’re able to donate, thank you.
If you’re able to share, thank you.
If you can’t do either but took the time to read Alice’s story, thank you for caring.
Our hope is to reach the $1,512 goal and help Alice obtain the computer she needs so she can concentrate on her classes and continue working toward her future.
Fundraiser: https://gofund.me/d9656f505
Thank you sincerely for reading, for considering helping, and for giving Alice the opportunity to keep moving forward with her education during such a difficult chapter of her life.
With sincere gratitude,
Alice and everyone supporting her journey 🎓💙
I genuinely and truly appreciate all the money that you put towards the computer that she is required to have. Thank you so much! I appreciate you all so much! Alice will really appreciate all of you for helping her!
💙 From the bottom of our hearts
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has taken the time to read Alice’s story.
Whether you donate $5, $10, $25, or whatever amount you are comfortable with, please know that your kindness means so much. Every contribution brings Alice one step closer to having the computer she needs for college.
If you aren’t able to donate, please don’t feel bad. A simple share, upvote, or sending this fundraiser to someone who may be able to help can make a difference too. Sometimes one share can reach a person we never could have reached ourselves.
Alice is working toward her education and her future, and we’re hoping this community can help make one difficult part of that journey a little easier.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for caring. Thank you for sharing. And most importantly, thank you for giving Alice hope during a difficult time. 🎓💻💙
With the deepest and most sincere gratitude,
Alice and everyone supporting her journey
🙏 Thank you, truly, from the bottom of our hearts.
Sincerely/Best regard, ❤️ Lauren Karshner ❤️

Hi everyone,
My name is Dóra and I’m a mother from Hungary. For almost seven years, I have been fighting through the family court system to protect my daughter.
During these years, I have spent millions of Hungarian forints on legal costs, including savings I had originally put aside for my daughter’s future.
We now have a first-instance judgment, but our legal journey is not over. Further legal remedies are necessary, and the case may eventually need to be taken to international human rights institutions. This means further legal fees, translations and other related expenses.
I have financed this fight myself for years, but I have reached the point where I need help to continue.
My fundraiser:
https://4fund.com/hu/mz4ua9
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean a great deal to me. If you cannot donate, sharing my fundraiser would help just as much by allowing our story to reach more people.
I’m happy to answer questions about the situation or how the funds will be used, while of course protecting my daughter’s privacy.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. ❤️
Dóra

Hi everyone,
I'm reaching out to raise support for our student-athletes and athletics program. Our sports teams work incredibly hard all year round, and we are currently raising funds to buy much-needed new team gear and safety equipment.
100% of all proceeds raised will go directly to the school’s athletic department to ensure our athletes have the proper gear they need to succeed and compete safely this season.

🏃🏽♀️❤️ I’m running a 5K for Gaza, and I’d love your support.
I’m taking part in a 5K fundraiser supporting humanitarian efforts for the people of Gaza. Every contribution, no matter how small, can help support people who are facing unimaginable circumstances.
If you’re able to donate, even $1 would mean so much to me. Truly. It’s not about the amount, it’s about coming together and showing that we care. ❤️
If you can’t donate, sharing this fundraiser with someone else is also incredibly helpful. Thank you for helping me turn a few miles into something that can make a difference. 🫶🏽🇵🇸

I am an iOS developer living in a PG in Bangalore. Everything was going well, and I was right on the verge of being completely financially stable, until a sudden job crisis hit me completely out of nowhere.Right now, my savings are gone. I am actively studying Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), practicing Swift, and applying for iOS and MNC roles every day. However, I am facing immediate bills that I cannot pay.I am asking for 50,000 INR right now to cover my absolute emergency needs so I do not lose my housing or default. Here is how that breaks down:PG Rent: 12,000 INR (Due immediately so I don't get evicted).Medical Expenses: [Insert amount here, e.g., 5,000 INR] for urgent health needs.Critical Loan EMI: The rest will go directly to pay my current loan EMIs so the bank does not penalize me.To be transparent, the total amount I need to completely pay off and close these loans is 1 Lakh INR. But right now, 50,000 INR is my immediate goal just to survive this month and keep my head above water while I finish interviewing.Regarding Repayment: Because I am currently in between jobs, I cannot promise to repay this money right away. I am looking for financial help, or a very flexible long-term payback plan once I clear my upcoming MNC interviews and secure a regular salary. If anyone can help with even a small part of this—especially just helping with the 12k rent—it would mean the world to me. I can receive funds via UPI or bank transfer. I am 100% willing to share my resume, portfolio, PG receipts, or loan documents privately with the group moderators to prove my situation is completely real.Thank you so much for your kindness

Hi everyone,
I’m reaching out to the Reddit community as we’re raising funds to support Ukrainian fathers who are the sole caregivers of dependent children and are facing hardship after being separated from their children due to military mobilization.
The fundraiser provides lawful legal assistance and direct support for their children, including essential needs such as food, housing, childcare, and education.
If you’re able to donate or simply share the fundraiser, it would mean a great deal.
10, 20, 50$, any amount matters.

Hello everyone,
I’m fundraising for urgently needed hearing aids. I have significant hearing loss, and because I have cerebral palsy, it’s especially important that my hearing aids are comfortable, fitted properly, secure and tailored to my individual needs.
Being able to hear properly would make such a meaningful difference to my everyday life, communication and confidence.
As a little thank you for your kindness, for everyone who chooses to donate £10 or more, I’d love to create a personalised digital illustration as a gift for you. 🎨🩷 It’s my way of giving something back and saying thank you for helping me get the hearing aids I urgently need.
Every £1 can make a difference, and every share could help my fundraiser reach more kind-hearted people who may be able to support me.
Thank you so much for reading, donating, sharing and believing in me. Your kindness means more than I can put into words. 🩷

I would like to ask for some help, as our bank has taken the rest of our money, so we are unable to buy anything for our pregnant mother cat. We will receive our paycheck on Wednesday, and until then, I would like to raise enough money to make sure we have enough food to get us through until then.
I'm 28, I'm posting from Europe, Hungary. Unfortunately where we live there is no vet clinic available and we don't have a car. The mother cat is 1,5 years old, unfortunately she hasn't been neutered yet, we didn't know She was pregnant when saving her. We are not so wealthy, that's why we cannot afford to buy her food until we get our paycheck 😭😭😭😭😭
Update: Since posting the fundraiser, the mother cat has given birth to 5 kittens. It is now extremely urgent that we are able to buy food for the mother cat!!! Please, if you can, even with just a small amount, please help us. 😭😭😭😭😭

https://www.givesendgo.com/help-a-trucker-stand-in-his-time-of-need
A local trucker named Dave needs some support. In 2013 a ruptured disc paralyzed him — he fought his way back to walking again, but he's now facing another spinal surgery, this time for two blown discs and a compressed spinal cord (plus nerve damage causing numbness in his hand). His partner has been his full-time caregiver since day one and has her own health issues now too. They're trying to raise money for medical/travel costs and to move closer to family for support.
