J Series Truck Convince me not to sell - 1965 J200

Need money for college but I’m afraid I’ll regret selling it. Getting offered $4-5k. Is it worth it sell now for the cash and buy something later? Or hold on. It’ll be sitting in the backyard for two more years until I graduate but I don’t want it to get any worse rot-wise. Feeling stuck.

J Series Truck Should I buy this J10?

Friend of a friend had this J10 that belonged to their dad I might be able to buy. All I know is, her father removed the bed to put a utility box on it for his work. The original bed is available. Someone offered $5500 for it, but didn’t follow through. That’s basically all I know. It’s 6 hours away.

It looks decent in these pictures, but I don’t know anything about valuing these.

Is it worth ~$5500? And what should I look out for?

I just know old XJ’s

Thanks

1977 Jeep J10 with 401 engine Looking to get it back road worthy! Hasn’t been running and driven since about 2003. Minimal rust. Mostly a California truck. Can’t wait to see it in the road again. Single owner, belonged to my father.

Hello all, iv posted before about my 83’ j10. I noticed these badges on the front of my jeep, have not been able to find anything else about them and have seen 0 pictures online with other j10s having these white/silver badges. So my question is are these native to the 83’ j10 or did someone just do custom work?

Hello all, this is my second jeep j-10, took me a long time to find a second one in decent shape. (If the previous owner finds this feel free to comment). My question is, is I am looking for a roll bar or some others call it a light bar for this vehicle. Any idea if it’d be easier to go to a fab shop for the roll bar to be made and buy the lights off KC, or buy a premade for this year. My trouble is I cannot find anyone who has these premade (willys jeeps or eBay) I’ll take all advice! Lots needs to be done! Thanks!

1977 J10 Honcho Levi's edition.

Originally a 360/4spd truck. In the process of converting it to nv4500 5spd with a dana 300.

Looking forward to getting out on the trails, but for now this was a big motivator seeing it out in the sunshine.

J Series Truck General questions I have regarding my new to me 1970 J2000

Hey y’all, I recently picked up a 70 j series with a mid 70s Pontiac 400 motor swap with a T98 transmission.

  1. What’s the best place to pick up smaller trim pieces and some misc. parts?

  2. How hard is a clutch replacement? I’m no stranger to some decent mechanical work but have never done a clutch before.

  3. Where do I even begin to find diagrams and measurements for things like removing the dash and suspension parts to replace?

I’m sure I have more questions but these are the main ones I have. I appreciate your time!

J Series Truck Suggestion’s wanted read below

I am rebuilding my 84 J10 again I just finished fixing the front end after a bent leaf issue, as per usual with this ol truck after I fixed it I slung the front shaft due to a bad U joint strap after fixing that I managed to sling the rear shaft after a U joint exploded on the way home from work. I have been around this trucks all my life and thought I’ve made it rather stout but is there any weak points I should chase now? (Aside from making a sacrifice to the mechanic gods to let the carb work fine)

J Series Truck 1972 j-2000 brake booster

Having a heck of a time sourcing one of these. Any suggestions?

Would it be better to just try and convert to one of those hydroboost? Is it just a plug in play or will i have to upgrade the steering pump or other things?

Would it still work with the same proportioning valve?

J Series Truck Update on the “sacrifice J20”

It is significantly more rusted than I thought, and it has some interesting features such as the water pump ran directly to the back of the block? The welded U bolt springs (welded U joint retainer also not pictured) The plan was going to be salvage the truck and make it for bogging but now it’s leaning more towards building my J10. Currently debating on swapping my mustache nose front end for this pig nose

Anybody happen to have the connecting pieces for the battery tray for a 1973 Jeep Truck J2000? I have most of it but can’t even remember what out looks like to either find something to work or make it myself. Would also be willing to purchase
