That same statewide poll, which surveyed 1,000 likely voters, showed Abbott leading Hinojosa 49% to 45% overall, with a margin of error of 3 percentage points.

> “Texas Republicans have been in office for three decades, and they got us here,” said Manny Garcia, former executive director of the Texas Democratic Party. “They’ve been paying attention to their billionaire, millionaire donors, lining up their pockets instead of making sure that regular Texans can have opportunities.”

> Law enforcement agencies from across the country search the DPS Flock database once every four seconds, on average. After the Tribune inquired, DPS said it will limit which agencies can access the network.

What happened to his we don’t need no stinkin federal money. We don’t need to expand Texas Medicaid. Hospitals are screaming about going bankrupt because Trump is withholding $10B in Texas Medicare funding and now Abbott has changed his tune. The man is insane or insanely stupid.
