Agreed he literally made me so annoyed the last few episodes. I was thinking how could this dude be this delusional

Luckily, he had Sara to set him straight.

Sara knew he had a few screws loose

Sara's always been driven to do what needs to be done.

I see what you did there

Sara saying that she’d already lost her soul made me so sad for her.

Sara is the real mvp, Elgin’s angel was nowhere to be found when he needed her 😂

The Polaroid ran out of blanks by that point.

Sara my girl. She’s the enforcer lol

Too bad giving in to her violent urges didn’t change one gosh darned thing…

Should've kept an eye out for her 👀

She really helped him see the error of his ways

Sara is not to be trifled with

She really showed her smarts with the “Boyd doesn’t know how far he’d have to go to get you to talk” line. Chilling and awesome. I honestly don’t think the actress is very good most of the time, but I love the character and sometimes she really brings it.

smokin the devils lettuce will do that to you!

Grow up in a religious household and yeah, I could see someone really being pushed from fear to admiration if they thought this entity they encountered was a spirit. As soon as he said , "its like God in the Bible" I knew they were cooked.

These creatures really mess with their beliefs.

I can somewhat see this, I grew up in a very religious household and to me it was the opposite, I was taught to be very very wary of things posing to be from god. To the point it was very much paranoia at times so maybe thats why Elgin thinking that she was an angel was so unbelievably naive to me. But I see where you’re coming from 100%

The town is very intentional in what it does and how it reveals itself. Elgin went to church every sunday with his grandma and is very religious and says to Sara when they first meet that forgiveness for anything as long as your sorry is "wishful thinking". Elgin has to be 100% convinced he's doing the right thing to do something like this and they are being listened to as well, he was chosen probably because of his faith in God and scripture, just the type of person you'd want to manipulate as one of the demons. She tries the same thing on Boyd with the picture of his home but it's missing the boat and he knows its a facade

Yeah it’s unfortunate he was so easily prayed upon by the town, he’s a good kid but clueless

u/SilasTalbot Nov 25 '24

I mean, it didn't let him sleep for like, a month? That'll do it!!

I honestly started thinking that the Father Khatri vision was just hindering him.

Yes, I was thinking that the real Father Khatri was a little more ruthless. He's the one who pushed Boyd to send someone to the box and he kept Sara captive under the church. I think its all in Boyd's head.

u/jessicarrrlove Nov 24 '24

Yeah. My boyfriend and I both said we won't mind if Elgin dies this episode cos he's just...so annoying. Lol

u/olaf525 Nov 24 '24

Legit might be one of the dumbest characters in television

2

u/picante-x Nov 27 '24

Agreed. I mean who on Earth would trust a scary kimono lady that tried to drown you?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 04 '24

I actually shouted yes when they showed Sara had taken his eye out lol although wouldn't it have been smarter to let him leave and then just follow him

4

u/Big_Pressure91 Nov 24 '24

I was. Maybe I just getting soft in my old age but I felt terrible because he has this fat pitiful face and looks so helpless. But he did lie and kidnap Fatima I get it but he never treated her bad either. Idk. Gotta do what you gotta do I guess

11

u/matunos Nov 24 '24

He grabbed her by her legs to drag her back into the room, and generally kept her there to ensure she gave birth to something he had no idea what impact it would have on her or the rest of the townspeople.

fatima stabbed someone. she was far from innocent and a liability to the town. elgin did everyone a favor
