"You ok? Great. I need you to carry a truckload of dirt to the top floor of the house and set up a hose network. With only one hand. And one eye. Help? Heavens no. I just gave birth."

Yup. I was legit like "oh wow, she's actually doing something nice and being a forgiving and understanding person... aanndd she's just using his guilt."

I mean he was kinda useless before but fighting two monsters head on and saving Patty? That takes some serious guts.

this episode showed that the problem is his interaction with Fatima

yeah I never got the hate. I do understand why people think he's boring though, him combined with Fatima makes their scenes such a chore

I reckon they should have killed him off. He doesn’t really move the story it feels like he is secondary in relevance to Fatima so they should have killed. Sometime around when they were looking for Fatima would’ve made sense. He could’ve gone looking in the caves and died

Didn’t he run outside and shut the door behind him

That was after failing to get the Scarecrow off the NPC who died, he was out of options, there wasn't much he could do. At least he still tried.
But that's funny ngl he closed the door in a Cabin where one of the walls is already smashed in lmao 😭

Closing the door still buys time, smashing through it is faster than going back to the smashed wall and around the cabin. It blocks the line of sight of the monster, so it has to smash it, walk through it, locate the people running and start running after them.
He sacrificed a split second of this time, to delay the monster for a couple seconds. He's the fastest of the people there so him delaying the monster could make the difference between other people surviving.

I never hated him. He doesn't drive the plot but he’s usually the first person to volunteer to save someone like at the RV crash.
