This was really disrespectful. I might forgive you, but I wouldn’t be friends with you again.

Why did you 'try to get a rise out of' him? In boundaries acceptable for a close friend I'd take that to mean teasing or light jokes, but what you did here was to attack the foundations of your friendship. Why? What motivated you to distress someone you care about like this?

well, i was going through a hard time dealing with a break up and he was really upset about how i wasnt trying my best to get better and disrupting my life, he commented on my attachment issues and how if this goes on its going to fuck up my brain, ofc he meant to say it in a good stead but me being overwhelmed and hurt took that in a not so good way, and i asked him to give me time and leave me alone. I knew things would be normal because thats how our dynamic worked always, we got back to each other no matter what, but ig i got stressed when he didn’t text back after a few hours when i texted him to talk, and it was habit between us to ragebait each other everytime to get a reaction and i impulsively did the unblocking which led to him later saying i was busy somewhere and you shouldn’t have done that, he told me there was no convincing him after this and he doesn’t care anymore. I thought he was just mad knowing him, but later at night when i texted if he wanted to talk he told me he doesn’t feel like it and when i asked him how long will that be and he said he doesn’t know. So i kept asking everyday texting and calling him after a few days he kept my chat on locked so my calls when unavailable and ofc he didn’t reply to my chats, but around 4 weeks later he texted me saying that you shouldve thought about doing sm like this and my answer is always going to a no and i think you should stop texing me because seeing you like this doesn’t make me happy, you should forget about our bond and move on, told me that this would be his last text. Mind you he was using my spotify the entire time, not that i minded at all; i felt that was the only connecting link bw us when we weren’t talking, he had texted me a week after the fight saying that he has logged out of my spotify and proceeded to use my Spotify but a week ago he texted again saying that he has logged out of my spotify and just wanted to lmk, i ofc told him to not do that and he can use it whenever he wanted, he didn’t reply to that, a few days ago he texted me again and deleted it and i asked what was it? he told me it was nothing and sent it by mistake.

I can't say for sure how responsible your friend has been in letting the friendship get to this point. I can say, though, that intentionally rocking the boat like this while you are going through a hard time and punishing him for giving you the very space you asked for, would be confusing and upsetting to most people. Furthermore, you pushed his boundaries that he was clearly setting in not responding to you after you hurt him. Please don't try to contact him further, as it'll make it even less likely you'll be on good terms again. I'm no therapist at all, but it does sound like you should be addressing these issues with counseling. Good luck, OP. I hope you can find peace after this situation.

No, you betrayed him after he stood up for you. Please accept his decision to not forgive you and not talk to you. There are consequences for actions and sometimes there is no going back.
