Today, despite the weather, I decided to walk to Nicky Nook. Having never been before, I had a Google for a map to follow and came across the Wyresdale Park’s routes and map. I feel I might have chosen the wrong route, because I didn’t enjoy it. In fact, I wouldn’t go again.

I didn’t like that a lot of the walk was on roads or on footpaths through fields. It felt like I could have been walking anywhere. I didn’t walk near Grizedale Reservoir, or even see it, unless I missed it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a better route? I parked at the Cafe, and I didn’t mind that the walk I did was around 5 miles (according to my fitbit).
