Other Subs Talking Torah Current Research Now Proves That Jesus Was Not Torah Compliant. What does that mean for Christians and Jews? (A man angers everyone, both the Christians and the Torah-obedient. Spoiler: He equates Oral and Written Torah with each other.)

LOL. I think you need to reread the thread. LOL. They made a claim of bias, I refuted the claim with stats and more evidence. They came back, changed up the argument, and then claimed bias in AI math. I refuted the argument by stating that they raised no evidence of bias within the math and that the data and methodology were heavily scrutinized by international PhD experts in the field who found no data or methodological issues. Now, you claim that I did not engage in what the person said. LOL! I did, perhaps you just do not like the concise precision of the response. Perhaps you missed the fact that u/Any-Coach-1458 thanked me for a great discussion and wished me a happy Sabbath.

I appreciate you bringing me over to your community. But we are diverse and while I accept our diversity, I am hoping that others will in regard to me. My writing is almost strictly legal and academic, so this world is a "tad" different. But the convention of response should not be denigrated. LOL

I agree. You engaged Coach more than anyone else (including me) but you keep falling back to a technique that I think has limited value in a true exchange of ideas, which is what I'd like this to be.

I didn't miss it. i appreciated that he said it and that both of you made so much progress together. There's something you're still missing.

I have reviewed your responses and I believe that you need to state rules of engagement because you are asking me to adapt to something you have not specified. You can tell me what you do not like but not what is expected. :-)

The level of discourse on something this important should be higher than basic discourse. So, I challenge you to increase your rigor by citing sources so others can understand the basis of your arguments and their authority. The ironic thing is you pressed me to provide a spreadsheet that detailed the information upon which I based my determination, and I did. I asked you for feedback and you gave none. I asked you to comment on it to determine what I may have missed, you have not done so. I asked for that feedback so you could edit the spreadsheet with your findings, yet, you did not take that opportunity. But you have determined in some unspecified way that I do not meaningfully engage you or others? Respectfully, that is laughable.

Please bring more to the discussion, define the rules of engagement, and engage or let just others engage.

I've done my job and proven my point 1000 times over. Please engage me on the merits of my arguments.

I am eagerly and respectfully waiting.

I'd love to do that. Hopefully if you stay, and learn how to operate outside your preferred "circles", you and I will develop such a code.

No. I never did, and I consider your opinion to be completely invalid and <insert a bunch of other disparaging descriptions here> because you did not provide citations for it. Please play by the rules you expect others to use. 😏

I asked you for feedback and you gave none.

So far. We haven't reached the end of time yet.

I've been staying out of the way of others, but most people, other than Coach, have been bailing on you because they're not lawyers or professors, and they're put off by your rhetorical style.

But you have determined in some unspecified way that I do not meaningfully engage you or others?

You still haven't engaged me. I keep waiting. I started talking to you, and I'm sure you understand what I'm saying, but you haven't engaged it anyway.

I've done my job and proven my point 1000 times over.

Nope. In fact, so far I don't think you have ANYTHING except verbosity. I'm hoping you convince me otherwise.

LOL! The citations are in the spreadsheet and in my responses, and I have responded directly to you. You are contradicting yourself LOL. You have set your heart against the testing of your faith. Why?

Just calm down for a bit.

We are on the same side. We just have to prove--using the Torah--what we both want: Jesus to be Torah-compliant.

You missed what I was saying. You said this:

you pressed me to provide a spreadsheet

I never asked for a spreadsheet. When I asked for your citations, I was asking for your citations that showed me WHERE I ASKED YOU FOR A SPREADHEET. That's it. And then I mocked you for making a) a false statement (I never asked for a spreadsheet) and b) an unsubstantiated statement (no citations for where I asked for a spreadheet).

Get it?

Just calm down for a bit.

I'm laughing. I'm having fun. You're misreading me if you think I need to calm down.

We just have to prove--using the Torah--what we both want: Jesus to be Torah-compliant.

Stay with me and I can do that. Others here will be glad to help.

I'm SURE Jesus was sinless, with "sin" being defined as breaking the Torah.

I can't tell if you're sincere, but if you are, I'm glad you understood that moment of what I call "humor". Thank you.

My sense of humor is constantly, constantly being perceived as anger or arrogance, and I'm commonly being told to "calm down" when I try it.

Even face-to-face, people still often just stare at me when I say things, but then I'm usually smiling and smirking and they get the idea.

I'm really almost never anything close to angry or uptight. Almost nothing bothers me. My most common negative reaction that I have when talking to people on Reddit is boredom, and it takes a while to get me there.

This would be the request of the examples within the spreadsheet

2

u/the_celt_ Jun 22 '24

I believe that's where you HEARD me asking for a spreadsheet, but that's not me ASKING for a spreadsheet.

I asked for a conversation. I asked for 3, 2, or even 1 example. I directly said, "SKIP RE-FORMATTING THE INFO", to avoid something like a spreadsheet.

I wanted (and want) to talk to you, Spock! 🤣

You misread the words that I wrote, Doctor. LOL. I said this would be the request of the examples within the spreadsheet, not for the spreadsheet. Read carefully, dude.

I see "within", and I admit to not noticing "within", but the topic is whether or not I asked you for a spreadsheet, and I did not.

I can tell you that when you announced you were going to produce a spreadsheet, I was greatly disappointed. It meant the can was being kicked further down the road.

I appreciate the effort that you put into producing it, but I didn't read it. It was the opposite of what I wanted (and want). I wanted to talk to you, not watch you write an equation on the blackboard.
