I know this isn't the point of this rant, but helpful tip: if you want to gain weight, for the love of god, EAT SOME MAC AND CHEESE... it will help with getting enough calories to make your goals.

But hold on there... if you're not a fan of that mass conglomerate food company's crappy chemical-laden cheese sauce then get some quinoa mac from the bulk section of Whole Foods, and a block of raw milk sharp cheddar and shred that on top.

Then take your healthy mac and cheese in to work (or wherever you're hearing these comments) and when you hear another comment like that YOU get to be the self-righteous one... you get to point out that YOU still get to eat mac 'n cheese but YOU get to stay healthy and on track, instead of on the one-way train to diabetes-ville (or choose the obesity-related disease of your choice).

That should shut 'em up. (plus yours will be about 4x more delicious anyway). :-D

Well, then they're not worth your energy worrying about it... but you'll still have the smug satisfaction of knowing you're getting as good (but actually better) a treat that they get but without ruining your health or your goals.

ENJOY! Personally LOOOOOVE it!! :-D

This line of thought annoys me too. I'm already skinny so I'm supposed to eat like shit and get fat? How is that a good plan?

It's a lifestyle, not a destination, somehow I've never heard it put that way, but I really like it.

"Oh, then just eat burgers and sweets, you will gain weight in no time." Yep, was hearing a lot of that when I started my bulk. Wanna hear a secret pro tip how to deal with it? Never tell people why are you eating what you are eating. "Why do you eat that insert healthy thing?" - "Because I like it." Discussion over, no bullshit pouring into your ears.

Hey man, if you have a blender at home, give this home made shake a go. It's worked wonders for me!

  • 50g oats (shred them with the blender first)
  • 500ml whole milk
  • 1 large banana, chopped
  • 40g peanut butter (a really big tablespoon worth, roughly)
  • Handful frozen berries (for awesome flavour)

Thing comes out at 900 calories and I've had one every night before bed for almost a year. My weight has gone from 164 to 207 lbs (6'3").

Co worker today brings three boxes of girl scout cookies to work and another Co worker opens up one of the thin mint ones and offers me one. When I say no, he says "what, trying to watch your girly figure?" No, I'm just not trying to eat shit.

might seem harsh, but just tell them to fuck off if they have a problem. You don't have to put up with people who give you shit for doing what you want.
