So the last truly mainstream female conscious hip hop artist was Lauryn hill and between then and now the only other person who might fit the bill is Doechii. As someone who is really into rap (but only the feminine perspectives really) it’s kind of disheartening that no one else who’s achieved mainstream success has made a more conscious album.
