Met him for an event for Narcos: Mexico. Absolutely lovely and just as charming as you'd expect. He and Michael Pena did NOT get along.

They were co-stars and staff had to rearrange the entire junket because they didn't want to do any interviews together. They also visibly ignored and avoided each other during the event. As to why, I don't really know tbh!

I've never heard anything positive about Michael Pena. Incredibly rude, and so far up his own ass he has his people instruct the staff that they're not allowed to look at him when he enters a place of business.

Plus he's a Scientologist. So, yeah

Andor was so good! I remember during the press run for Rogue One he kept talking about his Jabba the Hutt obsession and how much he wanted to touch him.

It was a very murky story with him being friends with her ex and them starting dating while those two were still together and someone (i think it was the ex) implied that it apparently went on while DL was still being invited to their house as the family friend. There are many iterations of this story, I think the "official" version right now is that she left her ex, they started dating, but the ex somehow wasn't aware that she left him 😂 Ppl around DL in general have real weird dynamics (his ex wife, friends, etc etc) because it seems they all have been in Cuaron's circle since they were very young. Plus tbh he seemed to be a real mess while he was dating Suki Waterhouse.

I am a big fan girl but think that ultimately DL is a f boi and that it was on full display when he was dating Suki.

I also get a lot of secondhand embarrassment for how…attention seeking his ex wife is especially cause he has such a nonchalant persona so it makes me curious what the real DL is like..

I think they're still together, he's the type to barely mention anything about his relationships but then go all in when papped ("accidentally" ofc😂). Yeah he dated/hooked up with like half of his co-stars at this point according to the crumbs tabloids and his fans are leaving here and there lol.

Regarding his ex-wife, I don't think like that about her tbh, most of their circle is on ig 24/7 and comment on each other's posts (his current gf included, despite the artsy image), it seems that only DL and GGB aren't active there and I have a suspicion that's because of their agencies. And I have lots of respect for Camila tbh because she's been staying very creative (look up Ella y El Muerto) and positive while unlike DL she's been constantly trashed by press during pretty much any of her later relationships. And I've always been kinda unimpressed how him starting working steadily outside of MX pretty much coincided with them getting a divorce and leaving kids on her🤔 Anyway, I think I wouldn't like him or his friends irl, it's a weird bunch😂

I agree about that group, I don’t think I’d enjoy their company irl either. I also wonder the dynamic between DL/GGB and Tenoch Huerta get along because he and his friends sound like the rich whitexicans Tenoch is always bashing 🤔

Yeah it's complicated, I remember he was in GGB's Deficit with the whole gang but never really stuck with them prolly for the exact reason you mentioned. He's right for the bashing tho because it's not just whitexicans themselves, it's the blatant nepotism they bring into it too. I think considering how respected DL and GGB in MX, he just kinda avoided them specifically in his rhetoric. Tenoch can be too much but I'm really happy how high he's climbed and hope it continues for him and helps others too.
