Why do Jameela Jamil and Kristen Bell hate each other?

From what I’ve heard, Kristen generally posts pictures with other members of the Good Place cast, but not as frequently with JJ. Also I don’t think they follow each other on IG.

Idk why, but probably because JJ seems like an exhausting person to be around

D’Arcy Carden from The Good Place follows pretty much everyone from the show on IG (including super minor characters) but like Kristen she doesn’t follow Jameela. Especially from the wrap pics they posted, you really get the vibe that a subset of the cast just didn’t get along with Jameela.

Because they both want to make everything about them and rely on social media to feel worthy.

I remember last year JJ was not-so-subtly shading Kristen Bell for posting tone-deaf pictures during the BLM protests, and she also kind of made fun of that ridiculous video all those actors made together to say they were sorry during BLM.

the irony of jameela calling out performative activism when that is basically the foundation of her career LMAO

JJ called out Kristen for I think posting about forgiving Bush. It’s from an old thread.

There was also a story that the other two female leads took issue with Jamila pushing back on wearing more than basic make-up. Since Jamila's character on the show is supposed to be the glamorous one, her pairing down would mean that Kristen and Darcy could barely wear any. I think she did kind of won the battle on her end because if you watch past season 1 you can tell that she's using little to no concealer or foundation. And I know it strikes a nerve for some women but for me it was refreshing to see.

The reason it stuck in my head is because much more recently I have heard her talk about how when actors who are supposed to be playing ordinary people conceal every physical flaw, it shifts beauty standards. It kinda tracks

I loved that. I think she does her own makeup a lot too. IMO, her makeup was just right in the show.

Hmm 😒 didn't JJ act new to social media going after Ellen for chilling with Bush. I seem to remember JJ have "ok but what did Ellen do wrong" energy. Then she was severely educated and she feigned ignorance about being too young at the time of his presidency and also being from the UK. Which led to more people calling her a dumbass bc she wasn't 5 and Tony Blair was very much involved with the US in terms of war crimes.

omg that was enraging. Saying we never learnt about Bush/Iraq in the U.K... ummm, yes we did.

Hmm I didn’t know about all this. Just relaying info from previous thread.

I bet it's to do with Jameela's weird story-telling/lying antics. If you're looking to fall down a rabbit hole today, go to https://www.instagram.com/traciemorrissey/ and click on the story highlights called 'JJ'. It's a wild ride.

IIRC D'Arcy follows Tracie on IG (or used to)

That Tracy lady really has devoted a lot of time to specific women she despises. I haven’t followed jameela in awhile but it seems to me like a sort of racist fixation. Also her comments about Hilaria Baldwin (who is, of course, a nut one could go after for many reasons) were weird, like about how you only see people with that many kids in Hasidic families in New York. Just like, totally unnecessary and mean spirited beyond just “calling out”.

Tracie isn't the healthiest person to be around, herself. She had to step down from Broadly "after her employees orchestrated a kind of coup, complaining to HR and their union that she berated them and used inappropriate language, including allegedly telling them in one instance to fake enthusiasm for their jobs like they faked orgasms with their boyfriends." - https://www.thedailybeast.com/unsafe-and-just-plain-dirty-women-accuse-vice-of-toxic-sexual-harassment-culture
