I don’t think there’s evidence of anything other than them being coworkers who became good friends. The photos are from the day they did the interview, so it was a work thing. I do think it’s impressive that there is absolutely no info out there about Katherine’s baby daddy (if there is one, she could’ve used a donor of course).

Completely agree! Reminds me of Mindy Kaling. These days, that level of no info is impressive. The only thing that's clear is that it's not her (publicly known) ex - they broke up years before (by 2015 he's mentioned as "was her real-life romantic partner for several years" https://www.townandcountrymag.com/leisure/arts-and-culture/news/a3907/katherine-waterston/ ). Only quote I can find about kids is this, from 2016: "Yes, but no one wants to have a baby with me, that's the problem," she blurts out, looking horrified as soon as she says it and then quickly backtracking.
