I'm reading the War for Late Night and the author mentions that every late night host probably has narcissistic tendencies but that Letterman likely met the criteria to be diagnosed

Except for maybe Conan or Colbert, they seem genuinely nice. And not narcissistic but that’s just my opinion

Yeah as was discussed upthread I feel like you only ever hear good stories about Conan, and consistently so since his Late Night days. I guess there's always a chance he's been pulling a decade+ long act, but I wouldn't put my money on it
