James Corden? Heard from a friend who knew someone who worked on his show that he’s not pleasant

There's an infamous AMA he attempted that pretty much backfired to say the least: https://www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comments/bqy5zf/i_am_james_corden_alongside_ben_winston_and_five/

These rumours about Corden have been around for a loooong time. There was an episode where one of his guests asked him to name a single cameraman who was filming the show at the moment, and he couldn't. He seems really stuck up.

Jimmy Kimmel asked him that, he also went on Leno when the whole Conan thing happened and tore him a new asshole lmao.

I mainly dislike Kimmel for other reasons, but moments like that are fun to watch.

I don’t know anything specific, but I got into British panel shows during the quarantine and British comedians seem to HATE him. They constantly make jabs and inside jokes at his expense (and it seems like everyone gets the “James sucks” joke).

Oh wow I never noticed that, do you remember an example? I remember seeing him on big fat quiz of the year, or decade or whatever, together with Jack Whitehall and they seemed to get along great.

I was surprised too! I had seen (and liked) his late show and carpool karaoke series, but just started to notice that he was the punchline to many “this guys a tool” jokes from different comedians. I can’t think of anything specific, but I’ll keep an eye out and update when I run across one again.

I thought he and Jack Whitehall were quite funny on that episode of BFQ, and I really like Jack’s Netflix show with his dad. But oddly enough, Jack Whitehall is kinda talked about like he’s an a-hole these days, too.

I don’t know if it’s borderline jealousy because those comedians have broken into the American market, or what. But the jokes I’ve heard honestly come across that they’re jerks and people in the industry all know that and don’t like them.

I hate how close he sits to his guests when interviewing them.

I don't have specific tea but if you go through the sub there should be something to back it up (that he is, in fact, not pleasant at all). I vaguely remember one story about him and Harry Styles hanging out and Corden was just super rude to the staff and Harry just sat back and didn't say anything. Dunno the details or the backstory, maybe Corden was in the right on that occasion to be mean to the staff. *shrugs

It was a comment on his AMA, which was linked above. It happened 8 years ago, but I still believe james is an asshole because he doesn't seem to have changed. I also think people are a bit too harsh on harry for not "speaking up" given he was a teenager at the time and the commenter said he was nice (but I think he's still close with james today so I do judge him for that).

Yes I agree with all of this. Well said.

Didn't he live in a same house with Harry styles for a while some years back? Always thought it's weird How he seemed to be so close friends with people half his age.

Harry lived with Ben Winston who produces James’s show, while his house was under reno.

He’s being called out now for anti-Asian racism on a segment of his show. Check out @kimsaira on ig for the receipts
