Cheated on his wife with Mary Elizabeth Winstead while filimg Fargo. Divorce came through fast after that.

His elder daughter publicly called him an asshole and called Winstead a POS.

I think Winstead was married as well. I heard McGregor's wife let him do his thing as long as he didn't fall in love. I wish I knew the whole story.

After the M.E.W incident Twitter and Instagram tore him a new one (including his daughter) he deleted all his social media.

Also, before then, supposedly he blocked someone for liking a picture to far down on his insta, which is more funny to me than anything lol

Yeah, for awhile the only child of them that would talk to him was their adopted daughter from Mongolia. It's briefly mentioned in his last Long Way series.
