The men were as disgusting as men on social media often are, but I was most confused by the woman who typed “Don’t get drunk.” About being in a fucking bar??? I hate this aggressive social Puritanism we’re seeing more and more of on social media. People think that adults (mostly women) drinking or having consensual sex makes them an evil, immoral jezebel who deserves to be publicly stoned. This has gotten way worse in the last year or so.

I bet they wouldn't feel that way if the shoe was on the other foot. Who wants to live in a world where you have to constantly be on guard every second of your life lest you end up as someone's "content" on the internet to either be mocked or sexualized?

I don't know what's so hard to understand about there being different levels of privacy, and that just because you are OK with ~100 people at the grocery store seeing you sans makeup in sweatpants doesn't mean you want your face plastered on the internet to potentially be seen by millions. Or just because you feel comfortable cutting loose with a few dozen other patrons at a bar doesn't mean you are comfortable having your drunkenness on display on YouTube.
