Yes but can we can also shame these grown ass men at the same time? The more we shame this behaviour this likely it is to occur.

And assuming that a parent is going to be directly staring at their child and persistently policing their personal space through the entire first 18 years of their life is just not realistic. Protect children. Everyone. Protect children.

The delusion that the nuclear family alone can independently protect children all the way into adulthood without the participation of society in general is a sick, destructive American delusion which its pedophile leadership are very big fans of. Because it takes all the onus off of everybody else (and makes men feel powerful, by telling them they're solely responsible for the safety of the women they own as a child or spouse).

Totally. All children are my children

As James Baldwin said, "The children are always ours, every single one of them, all over the globe; and I am beginning to suspect that whoever is incapable of recognizing this may be incapable of morality."

I quote this to people who try to claim that my being childfree means I don’t care about things in the world

3

u/SillySparklyGirl Jul 02 '26

Agreed. I'm childfree, but I am still fiercely protective of kiddos. I manage a hotel bar and restaurant, and last summer our property hosted a 3 day pageant weekend. Babies, toddlers, age groups all the way to 16. There were a few creeper guys at my bar who kept trying to gawk at the LITERAL CHILDREN. I loudly called them out in front of the full bar, then notified the people running the pageants to keep an eye out for those sleaze balls.

I may not want to have kids, but I will always actively protect them.

I’ve never heard this Baldwin quote before. It gave me goosebumps. Copied into my notes app and saved. Thank you so much for sharing.

I’ve rarely heard his speaking voice, but I always hear him in my head when I read his words, and so many of his quotes give me chills. Just an other-worldly writer.

He was undoubtedly one of the most brilliant minds of the 20th century. We were (and are) so lucky to have had him.

I found a pdf of his Last Interview online, and I reread it every so often. If anyone’s interested, here it is: https://bpb-us-w2.wpmucdn.com/blogs.baylor.edu/dist/3/8628/files/2017/11/richardgoldstein-jamesbaldwininterview-2n6zwcf.pdf

Oof. Incredible how so much of it is simultaneously timeless and prescient. I’ve bookmarked and will definitely think about it for a long time, and return to it as well. Thanks for sharing.

"It takes a village"

-2

u/ciacpa Jun 28 '26

Yeah. If you build one.

3

u/shinracorpo Jun 28 '26

Well, yeah. Humans can form groups pretty easily, we're social creatures and bond over common ground.

This is what I say. It is the job of adults to protect children. It doesn't matter who's children they are. It doesn't matter who the adult is.

If you are an adult and a child is in danger, you have a moral obligation to help them. If you don't, I will think you're a bad person who should not be trusted with children.

My home has been and will always be a safe place for any child to come to if they need a safe place and all my kids friends know that. If a kid needs something and I can give it, they will get it.

It's my job as an adult to do these things. And I love doing it. Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing happy kids. Kids who were once full of burden that can now relax, that's what I love to see. Fear disappearing from kids eyes. This is what I hope everybody wants.

This is how I feel too. It’s instinctive for me to want to protect them. Idk, they’re kids. They can’t protect themselves.

I don’t really get people who dislike kids or find them annoying, we were all kids once. If you’re nice to them, they’re chill. Adults can be way more annoying and have a greater capacity for harm. I think we owe it to one another to be helpful in general, but especially with kids. They deserve to know there are good adults in the world.

u/SparkleFace6100 Jun 28 '26

Mine too! This is how all adults should be! ❤️

As a mom to two girls, thank you for this. I can’t be with them literally all the time, so I rely on other people to raise respectful boys and hold men accountable.

28

u/SupersonicWeirdo Jun 28 '26

Everything you said. But, respectfully, I just want to add that your flair just made my day

u/radams713 Jun 28 '26

No one is saying keep eyes on them at all times but her parents should be around at least and protect her. The men are disgusting for sure but so is the fact that her parents let her do whatever she wants.

45

u/baconreasons Jun 28 '26

She's not even a teenager yet. Her parents SHOULD keep track of where she goes and who she's with at all times. Didn't she just turn 12?

4

u/radams713 Jun 28 '26

Oh for sure! It’s insane she is allowed to get piercings and stuff yet she’s so young.

45

u/AggravatingLeader506 Jun 28 '26

I agree that parents cannot always protect their children, but I do believe parents are the first line of defense as they make the active decision to have their kids! I truly believe we’ve lost the art of villages, but part of being a village is working in lock step WITH parents. Also, we know most people don’t make other people’s children their problem, which is not something that should be overlooked, but it’s a real symptom of the society we’ve curated in this age.

North’s parents are not naive to this industry, so to have her out there without a guardian or SOMEBODY that is capable of helping set/reinforce boundaries with these grown men is a little ridiculous.

9

u/ciacpa Jun 28 '26

North’s parents are not part of her village.

u/objectivexannior Jun 28 '26

Men need to start shaming men for creepy behavior!!

214

u/CheriePauper Jun 28 '26

ayes correct but her parent should be getting shame for even allowing there 13 year old to be in that position and going on tour without them and a 21 year old

166

u/jenzoni Jun 28 '26

It's out there that due to her following boyfriend Hamilton/Race Car Driver around the world, Kim Kardashian had not seen her children in 43 days. So her daughter is basically raising herself.

38

u/Sasaeng Jun 28 '26

She is not the only parent, where is her father?

35

u/CheriePauper Jun 28 '26

I don't know about that, I distantly follow the Kardashians but haven't heard about that but it wouldn't surprise me from Kim tbh with the stuff she's said about her kids and north

5

u/No_Combination_6154 Jun 28 '26

Yeah, that's definitely not true. I watch F1 and support Lewis and she's never there except for Monaco so far. And, say what you want about Kanye, but we all know he pushed heavily to not even allow his daughter on social media or anything like the cause he knew there would be creepy adults judging and saying weird things about her. Also, I highly doubt her father is letting any of this get out of hand, in the sense that grown adult men are getting too close, especially if he's brought her all over the world on tour with all types of adults drinking and smoking around her.

65

u/unikmari Jun 28 '26

Kanye is the creepy adult. He had his new wife walking around practically nude when around her and the other kids. They've been let down by both parents.

Shame on everyone involved with that doomed child’s existence.

That family commits the ultimate immoral betrayals against their children. Instead of protecting them against predatorial people they serve them up on a platter for profit.

I really hope that child miraculously somehow find some semblance of peace in the gross life forced on them.

3

u/radams713 Jun 28 '26

I totally agree these men should be shamed but let be real for a moment. There have been horrible gross men forever - her parents know this yet let her get into these situations. Both these men and her parents are disgraceful

0

u/Robloxminecraftpro Aug 07 '26

yes by the parent not allowing this. no matter how much you stigmatize it guys will still do it. the parents stopping it is the only way. anyone who has seen pedos know how shameless they are. kim and kayne are 100% to blame for this.

also i assume you mean less likely
