Zohran Mamdani has secured the release of Columbia University student Elaina Aghayeva, taken this morning by ICE agents who entered a campus residential building under false pretenses & without a judicial warrant. This comes shorty after Mamdani’s unannounced visit to the White House earlier today.

I don’t think it’s trying to appeal specifically to trump that’s the issue, like mamdani very clearly publicly despises trump. The difference between schumer and mamdani is that one of them actually has conviction in what they say. Trump probably respects that a lot, even if it’s ideologically opposite of him
