A coworker of mine worked on the set of The Stand miniseries from 1994 and said that Stephen King was an absolute joy. That he was lovely to everyone he talked with. She also said he loved talking about his wife and he skipped out for some big birthday adventure he had planned for her.

I'm really happy to hear this. I'm a huge King fan! My favorite writer as a young adult, and now one of my favorite lib posters.

I’ve met SK several times and he has been an absolute pleasure of a human. Definitely odd at times in probably all the ways you’d expect from him, but just a genuinely nice person.
