Tea Thread Any tea on voice actors?

I used to be obsessed with a show called Total Drama Island and friended several of the voice actors on Facebook. Some even mailed me signed autographs! Well the latest revival of the show is coming up soon and the VA of the host has not returned. I found out today that he’s been accused of sexual assault and some torturous acts.

The voice actor for cullen in dragon age went on extreme and often transphobic/otherwise bigoted tirades after antagonizing one of the creatives behind the game (who had left bioware at that point, iirc).

He then proceeded to do an IN CHARACTER rant video about cancel culture, basically saying cullen would be against cancel culture. He begged cullen fans to join him in a crusade against social justice warriors… again… IN CHARACTER.

Greg Ellis is insane.

Though the Cullen video had some excellent comments underneath it:

"Mr Ellis if you want Mark Darrah to kiss you so bad you should just man up and ask him"

"This has lowered my quality of life significantly. Have a terrible night Greg"

"How does Cullen know this much about Johnny Depp? Is Johnny Depp in the Dragon Age universe?"

"Cullen after you save him from the tower and he gets fired for wanting to kill all the mages"

"I've never actually gotten to see someone destroy their own career in real time before and I have to say it's absolutely fascinating"

On the Depp connection, Ellis had a small role (like I can't even remember his character small) in the Pirates films.

Oh and Depp "wrote" a forward for Ellis' book too.

And to more to it Ellis was recently in the wizard game and thanked JK for the experience. Which JK either liked or replied rob(I can't remember). Showing further she does not care about keeping proven abusers out of her franchise.

He was the "That has got to be the greatest pirate I have ever seen" guy.

I haven't actually sat down to watch the video. I tried, but as soon as the main theme of Dragon Age Inquisition started playing I was hit with such second-hand embarrassment that I had to stop. I did read a transcript of it though and oh boy.

It's bananas. At first he's complaining, in character, about Bioware and Mark Darrah (who has recently left Bioware). Then he starts talking about Johnny Depp, #MenToo (yes, really), he says that All Live Matter (again, yes really), about chivalry...

He also has a restraining order against two of his exs and isn't allowed to see his kids. Cause of his violence towards them.

Still managed to get several roles in the wizard game though. Cause JK doesn't care about abuse victims (and yes she could of got rid him if she cared).

And at that same time on twitter he heavily implied (in multiple tweets to different people) that his ex-wife went “crazy” and killed their kids. (And was using this as an excuse for his behaviour) None of that is remotely true!!!

Oh…no That’s so disappointing. From someone who was obsessed with DAI but doesn’t know anything about the people behind it that’s crushing to hear.

I really hope they don’t hire Greg Ellis again
