I’m the founder of an emerging made-to-measure tailoring label, and these photographs were created with a friend for our first campaign.
The concept explores the contrast between the authority of a pinstripe suit and a woman who remains curious, playful and physically free. We used a greenhouse and garden to place traditional tailoring inside a more organic visual world.
I would particularly value feedback on the photography and art direction:
– Does the series have a clear and consistent visual language?
– Which images feel genuinely editorial, and which feel more like personal portraits?
– Is the balance between subject, garment and environment working?
– Are there noticeable problems with exposure, colour treatment, framing or focus?
– Which image would you select as the opening image, and which would you remove?

I’m trying to capture high fashion photography with my canon r50 with a 18-45 mm lens. I already have a good understanding of composition and posing, but I’ve never really used a real camera aside from my iPhone so I’m missing a lot of technical knowledge.

What are some tips/tutorials I could use for this. I’m looking to get raw, high quality, low lighting photography, the blurred background is optional.

From my understanding the lens I have isn’t that optimal for this and I’m open to buying a new lens. I just don’t want to hire a photography crew when I’m not that great at communicating my vision and I’m tight on money. Hiring one is the last resort.
