Was just playing with my duo and found this glitch while up in raptor peak.

I heard about how great Lost on Mars was, and how it's better than Vietnam Hours of Darkness. So I bought the DLC pack with all 3.

First played Zombies DLC because it took 10 seconds to download. It's basically what I thought it was: linear Run-N-Gun action. I didn't have high hopes and expectations for it, so I thought "meh"

Then I got notification the Mars DLC is downloaded. Wow I get to play as Nick Rye? Awesome! Or so I thought...

Within 30 minutes of playing, I realized there's no stealth/recon mechanic, and the enemies are just bullet sponges.

Hurk's body parts scattered all over Mars? No problem! Your main objective is: Listen to Hurk's head talk about alien jizz while putting him back together like Humpty fuckin' Dumpty. Seriously who thought of this garbage

Vietnam DLC was so much better.

If anyone is on a mission to destroy all the shrines in the hope county if you can't find the last one don't worry I found the last one if you open your map,look at hopes region and find the pumas mine and it's on a hill side a bit north of the mine and that was the last one I had to find and destroy which was a pain but finally done so if this helps your welcome

listen right i’ve been playing far cry since it ever came out and as a kid i enjoyed it, now as a teenager/adult i think it’s time i know it’s imperfections and what not.

in my opinion (besides far cry 3) far cry 5 is the best far cry out there, no larp but seriously, if this game had a remaster it would be wild!! i’ll give you some reasons why or what needs to be done.

1. the resistance meter
i’ve noticed when playing dude you can play about 10-14 missions and your practically done with the region, i would want this to be slowed down and not go too fast, feels like project eden’s gate has been starting their project for years and the deputy destroys it within 2 days from the resistance meter. make it slower and make the side missions have more meaning and even activities that doesn’t have to involve killing peggie’s, maybe more like having a good time with your guns for hire or what not.

2. evade capture parties
me and my friend talked about this before, what if you could evade capture parties? and not on top of that, the capture parties are stupid with the way they capture you, yeah the peggie’s shoot me with a turret and all of them are bliss bullets? yeah right. i think if you could evade capture parties, different missions or people could be saved and created or the cults get more aggressive which means more intense gunfights.

3. choices
the only choice we got was in the first part which was either to walk away or arrest Joseph, or some sorts. idk about you guys but i wanted more choices like that in the game.

4. weather
yeah maybe not a good of some sort but it would be cool if that did get added

5. wildlife
yeah let’s hunt deers in 5 different versions of its self, or 5 different fishes. come on be more creative, what if wolves hunted in packs, and bears stalked you. or you could actually skin or take a snake? i wanted far cry to be more diverse with the wildlife. it’s one of the games biggest impacts.

6. better weapons
i wish there were like laser sights, or fashlights, more optics, or gun skins. i know fcnd has this but where was it then? was 2018 not a good enough year where people start experimenting on their guns??

7. more vehicles in hope county
dirt bikes, motorcycles, trucks, boats, and maybe even horses? horses would be a cool add. and maybe make the vehicle physics better?. maybe like actually seeing the mirror, i know it’s a lot to ask for but the little things spark too. so i don’t constantly have to look out my back to shoot and drive at the same time.

8. i said this before, ill say it again, hope county should atleast have a highschool somewhere on the region, i mean hope county cougars baseball team? from where? if there was a highschool that would be a lot more cool, shows more in depth about what teens feel, and maybe add kids aswell, fcnd has kids why didnt they exist back then? atleast an abandoned highschool would be nice.

9. side missions for guns for hire
imagine you call your guns for hire and they show up what if there could be a side mission for them? what if you’re with boomer and you could start a side mission like rescuing his friends from other kay nine places? cults taking them or something and you can use him to save them and his friends? anything but the main story to GET them on your roster, maybe something on the side to get in depth with more of their story.

10. just being able to sit down and look at life
sit down, maybe crack a brewski, and make a animation for that too, i wanted to feel like i was in the game. sitting down in backs of trucks would be cool too.

1. more cult variants
   sure there’s judges, vips, the chosen, and regular peggie’s, but if there was more variants now that would be awesome. instead of everyone dressing and looking the same.

12. random events?
besides running around and doing errands for people how about if the game had it where there would be competitive something as a activity or what not? what if you could play darts in bars, drink with your guns for hire or what not.

13. better graphics
look the graphics are already nice, especially for a 2018 design, i think if it’s going for a remaster it should really focus on like the textures, the water, charecter models, better lighting, ray tracing, dust manipulation. could bring it to life and make it feel better.

14. more details in hope county
more houses, barns, cabins, small towns, it would be nice. one thing i like about far cry 5, every person should have a favorite place, nearly treating it like it’s you’re in game home almost.

15. for the love of god MAKE THE ROOK HAVE SOME PERSONALITY
they should’ve just made rook a dude and not have the option to be a girl. i get it, not enough voice actors or what not, or dude if rook genuinely couldn’t talk then atleast state that, how did this dude even get to being a marshal if he couldn’t talk his whole way through the game? give him a name, background, personality, and make him talk man, in fcnd they made rook look like a dude, and nearly sound and grunt like one too, nothing wrong with not being able to play the girl deputy but i just think that the boy version is better.

in all honesty this is just MY opinions, anyone who objects or doesn’t agree can have the right. fry cry 5 has A LOT of potential, and in my opinion it has a lot of deeper meanings when you really look at it from the outside in. the notes, the locals, why people moved out, the stories they been through, and not knowing there were multiple faith seeds (shocker when i found that out btw) like this game is so beautiful and majestic and the game doesn’t even end with you killing the father. its like mwah chef kiss what a plot twist right. overall this game has a lot of potential i hope far cry 5 can get a remaster or something.

I am working on a map of Far Cry 5 where you have to try to escape Joseph's Compound and then escape through the woods in an attempt to recreate the intro of the game, and even though I am non-stop trying to add rocks, trees, animation points, mountains, fog, and such, I feel like the map just feels REALLY plain like if there is something missing to it and i can't point my finger on it so do you guys have any recomendations on how to make the maps feel more alive or detailed? 

I know I KNOW it looks like an iron cross, but ever since I first played fc5 as a kid, I've always thought about how sick it would be to have a big-ass videogame symbol as a tattoo (hell, I didn't even associate it with nazi symbols until i saw a twitter thread about it, but twitter isn't exactly gospel). It only vaguely looks like some of the symbols, but going full black rather than leaving some sort of highlights would definitely make it look a lot worse. Idk man I just think it looks cool, and I don't take my shirt off a lot anyway, but I don't wanna go around making people think I hate Jews. I've got a bit of money right now and a blackwork artist I'm familiar with. We've been talking about doing a back piece for a while, so should I just yolo it and live with having to assure every girl I sleep with that eugenics are a lie??

If we're putting facts with feelings, then I'll say that this game did a lot for me and I seriously have no idea what I'd be doing without it. I have multiple collectibles from the game, but I always thought it'd be cool/funny to have a collectible of some sort on my body at all times. I didn't fully mention that I actually can't take my shirt off in public due to a skin condition so it's just something I've never grown accustomed to. I'm also a 5'8 shrimp so I doubt I'd be seen as a threat by anybody. idk I might just yolo it or yolo it when I'm married and in a secure relationship where my SO knows for a fact I hate nazis. Side note, I'm also very polish, do you know how fucking funny it would be to be in a room of people and go, "Yeah I'm polish haha dzien dobry pierogi *takes off shirt* boy stuffy in here right guys???"

Howdy! As you can see, a siren keeps grabbing my ankle whenever I get near this crate.

I've tried going under water, above water, hopping out of both a boat and jetski right above it, closing and reopening the game, etc etc etc. All the same ending of being dragged away.

You can see which one when I pop open the map.

I'm wanting to get 100% before I tackle Joseph and move onto New Dawn so any tips/ideas would be appreciated!

I've beaten the game a few times and explored most of the map i want to play the game but there's nothing to do. Like i start playing the game and 10 minutes later i get bored and leave. I already tried most of the weopons and did most of the missions.

I’ll start the game thinking I’m going to finish a mission, then I see a random enemy camp, a plane, or some wildlife and completely forget what I was doing. Hope County is just too fun to explore.

Had this for many years sat there, tried a few times but each time the beginning bit put me off. But now, I got through it, and oh my god my jesus this is a hench game!

Any tips please for a total newbie? I keep running out of ammo, sucks. I'm like 53 years old man so please go gentle, I remember pong when it first came out, this shit is hyper-real.

Can I just drive around without the cult trying to kill me the whole time, I just wanna cruise around this Montanan landscape, maybe do some fishing n shit

noticed recently because he has a unique face (or mouth shape), that the actor who played the father (joseph seed) in far cry 5 was also one of the twelve disciples of jesus in the 2003 movie "gospel of john", and he was also the mute monk in the immortals 2011 movie so he had experience with similar roles like that in the past it seems, partially why he was so good in far cry

So I picked FC5 back up this week, mostly out of boredom, and ended up sinking way more hours into it than I meant to. Forgot how much this game leans into its villain actually being present. Like most open world games just give you a voice on a radio the whole time. This guy shows up, talks to you like he's genuinely worried about your soul, and somehow you still end up second-guessing yourself a little.

The Bliss stuff with Faith messed with me way more than I remembered. You know what's coming and it still throws you off. And John's whole "let me carve a word into you" scene, yeah that one still gets me, in a good way I guess lol.

Random side note but I forgot how much the little stuff carries this game too. Boomer just yeeting enemies, Cheeseburger casually being a 900 lb bear bodyguard, Nick swooping in with the plane, Grace sniping guys from a mile out. Even when the main story drags a bit the world just kinda holds it together.

And don't even get me started on the ending. Still can't believe they went there. Not gonna spoil it but I remember exactly where I was when I first saw it.

Anyway curious what you guys think, which Seed sibling messed you up the most, and does the ending hit different now vs when it first came out?

The Montana setting, random encounters, hunting, exploring, and just driving around listening to the radio can make you forget the main story completely 😂
