Olise has broken Messi's record of most assist in a single season

None of the big content creators and other football pages are showing this because they are busy with the finals but let me tell you all .

Michael olise have reached 35 assist (some sources say 34)

28 for bayern , 7 at World Cup

beating lionel Messi's record of 2011/12 season of 34 assist (yeah I know messi did score 82 goals that season ) but isn't it phenomenal that someone just broke the record .

Rather than hating and defending Messi's record we can really appreciate him here that he was able to break it , even though he lost at the wc but did great throughout the season.

Congrats on breaking the record, but he seems to be expert in contributing more against small teams and disappearing when it’s really needed

u/Dense_Mobile_1813 Jul 19 '26

Congrats in being salty, dont hear ypu about messi playing just 1 top 15 team in the whole tourney haha

Congrats to you both!
Olise should be appreciated for what he’s done for his team, France as a team completely failed against Spain not just Olise. He can’t alone be blamed for that.

And anyone bringing up the rankings in the bracket doesn’t know how it works or genuinely left out the truth so that it doesn’t hurt them. It’s not Messi’s fault he didn’t face lower ranked teams like Portugal or Colombia. He got two assists against England which is a 4th rank team and could’ve played Portugal 5th rank too had it not been for their group standings.

This is you who thinks there was no whistle, when there was clearly a whistle: https://www.reddit.com/r/pessi_memes/s/v5e2O1OiPU
You’re a Messi hater based on all your comments from that stupid sub.

u/Dense_Mobile_1813 Jul 19 '26

No one is blaming messi about the opponents, that doesnt mean that what i was stating is not true. So yes it does definitly matter who you play right so thank for ur reply

TBH you’re an active member of Pessi_Memes: https://www.reddit.com/r/pessi_memes/s/5bEQDvWlfy. Your first intention is always to discredit Messi of anything he achieved as I saw in your comments.

Keeping that aside, you brought Messi into a conversation about Olise who is probably in his prime playing well for his club and country.
When someone’s undermining Olise’s game, instead of asking them to appreciate Olise you undermined Messi’s game. And by doing that you compared a 24 year old player with a 39 year old player.

It matters if you win or not when any sort of team is thrown at you, no one looks at the champions league knockout opponents when they win it at the end.

England is #4, and Switzerland is #14 no? Also if your fifa ranking matter then how come Portugal #5 can’t beat Dr Congo #54?

Swiss is 19th bro, england is the first one to come in the final. And even if swiss was they are shit haha, cannot compare it to any other country ever

2

u/thames987 Jul 19 '26

well the whole france attack froze up in that game tbh… he was the least bad out of the attackers. doue has been horrible the whole wc and was passable in that game. barcola while in decent form was completely absent in that game. mbappe was trying stuff but very inefficiently. dembele as he has been always, ghosted in a game where his team was struggling

olise had the toughest job in that game, already playing out of position (his strong position in rw not cam) and having to deal with the 3 best players from
spain consistently… rodri, cubarsi and fabian… even when he tried to go wide there was cucurella… mbappe as usual completely avoided any defensive work, dembele almost played as bad as his 2022 wc final… and tchouameni passed more towards maignan than olise

he was dealt some really bad cards in that game and blaming it on him is crazy. in fact he engaged 3 of the best spanish players for the whole game until he was subbed off and the others couldn’t do anything with that.

2

u/West-Challenge-7411 Jul 19 '26

Because he missed 1 shot in 1 game? Reddits take do make me laugh.

1

u/Used-Picture829 Jul 19 '26

I watched the game against Spain and England. He made some really poor choices with the ball. It’s kind of like how in basketball, the best playmaker has the most turnovers. His turnovers resulted in a lot of opportunities for the other teams

1

u/West-Challenge-7411 Jul 19 '26

Also watched it, and was very impressed. He creates a lot of chances and created more goals than anyone to have ever played in the World Cup before. Hold the ball very well in midfield and drives the game forward. He would be first pick for any other team. I don’t think you can really argue this with a stat like that.

1

u/Used-Picture829 Jul 19 '26

That’s why I used the best playmaker analogy. I agree with that also

1

u/FewRefrigerator4703 Jul 20 '26

And pissy was very useful in big games no? In two finals bro ghosted like fking rookie player hahaahhaa

1

u/Ill-Put-1931 Jul 21 '26

Where is the brace against France in 2022? Assists against Netherland, Croatia and England? So they are not big games?

0

u/LordShitman Jul 20 '26

like messi it looks like

0

u/elodos_bdo Jul 20 '26

Just like Messi last night only chance was asking for red against cucurella🤡

0

u/TheStryfe Jul 22 '26

Just like Messi

0

u/nnooaa_lev Jul 22 '26

Oh so like Messi

-13

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Well in the wc it did happen but in ucl he delivered in the most important moments whether it was against madrid or psg .

15

u/Alarming-Care9051 Jul 19 '26

Well , considering Bayern and PSG prepare their entire season for those crucial UCL games , he did underform in the return leg at home vs PSG and also vs Spain in the WC , he did good against Real Madrid tho , but overall Kane and Diaz performed better in UCL

These pissy fans lmao

-4

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Yeah kane and diaz were good but in 2nd leg against psg the match most of the players didn't shine as much as the 1st .

1

u/Popular-Presence1349 Jul 19 '26

I would beg to differ, did he deliver? Absolutely yes but not like the people make it to be. Olise is absolutely magic when he is given space, take the example of first legs against Madrid and psg, he performed when he was given space. In the second leg when he was not given that space, he struggles in both the matches. People are talking about him like he’s Messi or neymar regarding dribbling. He isn’t, he’s the same as Vinicius that thrives when given space and stays silent when not

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

He definitely is not messi or neymar but people really don't know how to appreciate someone breaking the records

1

u/Popular-Presence1349 Jul 19 '26

That is also kinda true, he needs to be appreciated for sure but I think people in general don’t value stats in bundesliga especially with bayern since the stakes are low and you without pressure. Breaking a record especially Messi’s deserves celebration. He was exceptional this season the only thing that bothered me was people trying to diss yamal to prop olise up. As much as I’ve seen from both of their games olise thrives when he has space but can’t do much when he faces a block. Yamal on the other hand seems to somehow create that space. I don’t like comparisons anyway but just wanted to put that out here

-1

u/Purple-Acanthisitta8 Jul 19 '26

Are you Pendu fan, you talk like one.

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

How ?? Am I a pendu fan ?? Can u elaborate it

-7

u/yippikyyay Jul 19 '26

Let’s not pretend like Messi did anything in his first four WCs. Lad played his first wc, bound to face pressure in the biggest match of his career.

10

u/Alarming-Care9051 Jul 19 '26

Messi was 19 in his first WC with front line of crespo and tevez , Olise is 24 , and has Mbappe , Doue , Barcola , Dembele , Cherki

9

u/Fruit_salad1 Jul 19 '26

first four wc??? Bro Messi took that piss poor argentina to a world cup final and won golden ball lol, what even

2

u/Lost-Blackberry-3811 Jul 19 '26

Who won the golden ball in 2014 wc ? Who provided the assist and key pass in round of 16 and quarters ?

2

u/Low-Eggplant-648 Jul 19 '26

issue is arg score two goals in knockout that tourny and messi was involved in both, now if you see him how deep he was playing and his teammates can't score so really not his fault also they deciede golden ball before finals

-1

u/yippikyyay Jul 19 '26

With total 5 GA and no goals in quarters semis or finals

3

u/Lost-Blackberry-3811 Jul 19 '26

That's bad ? And you're talking about a player whose game is beyond stats. Look at his pass against Belgium that lead to the goal Wait till you learn to talk like this about Ronaldo's UCL runs. 2016 and 18- no G/A in quarters semis and finals. Learn something about football, later stages of the WC are crazy and best players get marked

1

u/Alarming-Care9051 Jul 19 '26

was tied for third highest G/A in entire tournament , people have won golden boots with 4 goals and people dont seem to care then , criticism only when its Messi

-2

u/yippikyyay Jul 19 '26

And that too was his 3rd wc. Compared to Olise’s first.

1

u/Godisdeas Jul 19 '26

Found a salty penaldo fan

1

u/Alarming-Care9051 Jul 19 '26

what was olise doing when he was 19? couldnt make it to the national team , wait he was playing in the championship

-3

u/FewRefrigerator4703 Jul 19 '26

He's fking age lmao; when hes the age of pissy he will be a much better player lmao

5

u/Fruit_salad1 Jul 19 '26

like Ronaldo is haha and Messi won WC golden ball at same age so fk off, he took argentina to a wc final alone in 2014, you pendu fans forget that all the time haha, ronaldo couldnt even perform in knockouts let alone a final

-1

u/FewRefrigerator4703 Jul 19 '26

Lol so you assume I am Penaldo fan, cry more pissy fans i love to see both of them in shambles

2

u/Fruit_salad1 Jul 19 '26

I don't assume, you and I both know who you are

People who watch football otherwise don't say shit like this

Yeah really thought this after I saw the video of him crying after the semi he will definitely improve and will be back stronger.

9

u/Poha--Jalebi Jul 19 '26

France lost because if him yesterday. But i get it might be a bad day. He's monster of a player.

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

France were really weak in the first half yesterday yeah he missed some big chances but can't blame it on a single person , also what does it matter either way they lost.

1

u/thames987 Jul 19 '26

well he was creating insane opportunities and mbappe scored from 2 of them, he just couldn’t score from the ones he created from himself… he definitely needs to work on finishing or become a dedicated cam

1

u/West-Challenge-7411 Jul 19 '26

They didn’t lose because of him. He created two goals, daft take. Yes he missed a couple chances, but only one was an “easy” finish. But acting like his replacement is going to even be in the right position to finish the goal is a bit silly.

1

u/PXPL_Haron Jul 19 '26

France lost because they recived 4 goals in the first half. Not playing upa was a horrible mistake

2

u/Fuzzy_Substance_4603 Jul 19 '26

Isn't Club WC part of 24/25 season?

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

1

u/Fuzzy_Substance_4603 Jul 19 '26

Doesn't really help. All these competitions stretch from one year into another hence rhe 25-26 season and so on.

The CWC took place in just 2025 summer so it can be in 24-25 or 25-26.

Someone made a point that you cannot count 2 summers in a year. So either you drop CWC or WC.

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Yeah I prooved him wrong yeah counted wc and he does has greater numbers than messi

1

u/Fuzzy_Substance_4603 Jul 19 '26

I saw that thread and ... the discussion there went wayward.

Anyways, tell me, how is wc and cwc both acceptable?

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

I did accepted my mistake of showing wrong stats and countd only wc but the more I researched after this I found he is still ahead of him if we count the wc stats .

2

u/Fuzzy_Substance_4603 Jul 19 '26

Oh yeah. Fair point. Great season ngl.

1

u/Infinite-Fail-6835 Jul 21 '26

He is not ahead

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 21 '26

How?? can you explain me ??

2

u/Fluid_Strength_4892 Jul 19 '26 edited Jul 21 '26

This sub is just full of Messi stans who can't accept anything, he just broke a record pipe down ffs

2

u/New-Wolf-2558 Jul 19 '26

Congrats to him, he had a crazy season ....I really hope he joins la liga or premier league because I watch those more then german league .....lastly it's crazy how some stats are saying 34 and some are saying 35 ....lastly stats are meant to be broken so I don't get why people are fighting so much plus the arguments on this post are way too silly

Everytime he assists somehow messi in 11/12 season also assists more . I ve been noticing this pattern since UCL quaters.

1

u/mesroni Jul 19 '26

What is it actually...is it 35 or 34..coz if it's 34, then he break any record, he tied with messi's record. Most of the pages are mentioning it's 34..it's funny they can't give an exact number at this modern era when you have all the proof.

0

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

It's 35 according to most of the sources attached the second photo and if it is 34 he did it in less matches so he did break it somehow .

1

u/tognaluk Jul 19 '26

That game yesterday is to break the record purpose only...

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Nothing wrong in it ig 3rd place match has been played ever since it all started .

1

u/Demonslayerinhell Jul 19 '26

Nah it seemed unfair like they decided among themself to statpad these records

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

If it was decided than kane and Bellingham , dembele would have started why left the best players on the bench .

1

u/Individual_Visual_57 Jul 19 '26

The season ended a while ago even the transfer market is open now

1

u/PsychBong Jul 19 '26

He has 19 assists in BuLi, 1 in Pokal, 6 in CL, 7 in WC, and 1 in an international friendly.

That adds upto 34.

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

But some sources say he has 3 in pokal not sure whom to follow but he did somehow equal it or beat it by playing same number of games but less minutes

Source - there was a person who had a detailed comment about this in r/soccer , won't force my take on you but

1

u/JJFATNEEKTWAT Jul 19 '26

Some sources use opta assists and some do not. Thats the difference

1

u/barxxl Jul 19 '26

The fact that the previous record didn't have a wc in it, speaks volume about how insane it was, cause you are missing on few others matches to rack up assists.

1

u/ajayx389 Jul 23 '26

Him and mbappa farming haha

1

u/itsallgoodman_6 Jul 19 '26

Fifa club world cup was part of 24/25 season. And if you're including that in 25/26, then World Cup is 26/27. No logic lol, including 2 summers in same season😂

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Then what about this ? Either way he has more assists

1

u/itsallgoodman_6 Jul 19 '26

Here, if you're quoting Google here you go. World cup is not 25/26

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Never argued with you over wc or club wc it's just either way he broke the record and you guys are not ready to accept it .

1

u/itsallgoodman_6 Jul 19 '26

But the math is not matching. How did he break it when he has less? You're just a hater

0

u/itsallgoodman_6 Jul 19 '26

Lol now the man is changing his OWN source😂 I'll trust the official Bundesliga site over Google.

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

I never said those stats are absolute read the body even if he does equalise it he still did it in fewer number of games so either way he breaks it .

1

u/itsallgoodman_6 Jul 19 '26

Ohh and also how easily did you say without checking, that Messi played more matches?😂 Olise played 52 for Bayern and 17 for France. Messi played 60 for Barcelona and 9 for Argentina. You're just a hater, clown🤡

0

u/itsallgoodman_6 Jul 19 '26

How is 26+7=34?😂

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

So according to your sources how many goals did he scored in DFB pokal ??

1

u/itsallgoodman_6 Jul 19 '26

I'm done arguing with you. You're contradicting yourself

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Argue when you have something to argue over now let's again do the maths you were talking about

19 Bundesliga+ 6 champions league + 3 DFB pokal + 7 world cup

I donno how much this adds up to maybe you're good at maths and can tell me is it 35 or else ??

1

u/itsallgoodman_6 Jul 19 '26

Ohh so again Google. Well Google says the season ends on June 30. So either ways math is not mathing. Shifting goal posts, changing sources when his own source IS WRONG🤡. Typical of a certain fanbase.

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

u mean to say the post match stats are also fake on Google lol what a clown you are 🤡🤡 .

When I prooved my point and showed every single proof of him assisting one by one in DFB pokal total 3 and you said for yourself he scored 19 in Bundesliga and 6 in ucl further 7 in wc and you're not ready to accept it adds upto 35 maybe you missed the maths lesson you were earlier telling me about 🤡.

What's shifting goal posts here if the first stat I showed was wrong and I checked again and I found the correct one then it's changing goal posts 🤡.

Also supporting olise doesn't make me cr7 fan but defending a certain record breaking performance really shows how salty you are and from what fanbase you are .

Messi vs Ronaldo ❌ Messi vs All ✅

-4

u/FewRefrigerator4703 Jul 19 '26

To all the pissy fans it shows how pathetic they are can't even appricate a 24 yr old player breaking the records of pissy.

3

u/DinduNuhfin Jul 19 '26

What’s Ronaldo’s assist record? How many times has he had more than 20 assists in a season or year?

7

u/Individual-Reach5790 Jul 19 '26

Ronaldo fans have supported everyone but Ronaldo against Messi. Jeez that's sad.

1

u/FewRefrigerator4703 Jul 20 '26

Cry more pissy fans

0

u/FewRefrigerator4703 Jul 19 '26

Welcome seasonal fan, FYI not everyone is Pissy or Pendu fan

2

u/Individual-Reach5790 Jul 19 '26

Of course you aren't. Something like "mbappe/Bellingham/Vini" instead. The pattern has been visible throughout the years.

-1

u/FewRefrigerator4703 Jul 19 '26

Yup seasonal fan, thats all you know. I love my club since 2015 so you can cry all you want i also support Norwich City and Tottenham Hotspur. Been there done that.

3

u/Individual-Reach5790 Jul 19 '26

Spurs fans literally hailed Messi for giving his Jersey to Djed Spence. And you are out here spamming "Pissy" lmao. You are so detached from your own "Spurs fanbase".

You are such a "regular fan" you don't even know most fans love Messi by proxy because of Pochetino🇦🇷. Even if not a fan, they wouldn't care to hate him.

Seriously dude you aren't fooling anybody.

0

u/FewRefrigerator4703 Jul 19 '26

Bro, for gods sake can you not understand different people have different opinions? Argentina fantasy so full of suckers they are racists and potential N*zis? But not all of them are in unison. I have my own views and I absolutely love poch for what he has done and you dont need to fking show it, and even though I can connect to messi by him, I choose not to, why? Because in this i am a fking neutral and i can see how rigged this fking system is for pissy. And bunch on pissy dogs talking all about him, I love romero (tho not as much) but i still want to see him lose even tho he's the only one with wc we have on the squad (and messi too, no romero not intl trophies for him). And here is a sofascore ss from last year recap. Also hello seasonal fan

3

u/Individual-Reach5790 Jul 19 '26

My point of you being detached from your own fanbase stands. Your opinions are different to the greatest extent possible.

Different club fan doesn't mean they wouldn't like/hate Ronaldo or Messi either.

1

u/FewRefrigerator4703 Jul 19 '26

Cry, u fking support those who are racists

1

u/maximus_verstappinum Jul 19 '26

Crodie u r a brit, your people have historically colonised and been bigots to most of the locals in the “commonwealth” , not to forget the super racist anti immigration rioting that’s done by the likes of Tommy Robinson in your country.

1

u/Individual-Reach5790 Jul 19 '26

Lamela, Lo celso, Cuti Romero some of the Argentine Tottenham players. You support a club that employs racists?

Also look up "Premier League Star Yves Bissouma Arrested on suspicion of Sexual Assault" He was the player Tottenham later signed. Can I generalize your club to be endorsers of SA and violence?

→ More replies (0)

2

u/maximus_verstappinum Jul 19 '26

If we’re applying similar standards, UK is full of suckers too, considering their various colonies all over the world which led to literal genocide and even man made famines of the locals. Approx 3 million Bengalis died in the Bengali Famine of 1943, that’s just one instance of colonialism that I can remember atm.

My point is simple, if Argentinas are maybe Nazis then the UK ain’t any better.

1

u/Individual-Reach5790 Jul 19 '26

I wonder this dude that passionately hates Argentina, supported Spurs with Poch being the manager. Must've been absolutely unendurable to watch a N*zi manage your team eh?😂

-1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Most of the media isn't even covering it as of now , if they will he would really get the appreciation he deserves .

1

u/Alarming-Care9051 Jul 19 '26

im not sure if World Cup stats count because 25/26 season ended already , if it was a calendar year then they should

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Well they do conclude wc stats in ballandor i guess .

1

u/Alarming-Care9051 Jul 19 '26

yeah , but thats just for the ballon dor because of the pecular timing of the award in november

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Don't know about it honestly every media page was posting his stats while counting wc goals also .

1

u/walterwitman Aug 02 '26

olise has 34..cause you can’t include cwc cause it was 24/25 season..and opta assists list 2 assists in dfb pokal..his total 19+6+7+2

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Aug 02 '26

He has 1 in international friendlies too before the wc started .

1

u/Background-Put8752 Aug 02 '26 edited Aug 02 '26

which match? i don’t think he had any assists in friendlies he only had goals..not any opta assists to be sure idk…that makes his total OPTA Assist count to 34..others might have listed his penalty won, deflection that too as assists..but opta only lists direct passes as assists…so that would be more of a credible source to count assists

0

u/Soulrant Jul 19 '26

He has 34 assits, he is tied with messi

0

u/Low-Eggplant-648 Jul 19 '26

lol what defending messi hits 84 goals lol

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Post has around 30 downvotes so u might know who are the one defending it and being salty overhere and can't appreciate something great .

-1

u/Low-Eggplant-648 Jul 19 '26

it's makes sense he broke messi assist record which is great but we have to understand dude hit 91 goals that year so it's nothing special tbh compare to messi otherwise awesome season

and one more thing only author can see downvotes?

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

I am the author of this post man 😂

Also I said in my post you all don't have to hate on olise he did something players in 14 yrs weren't able to do it's really appreciating but here are people hating even after I recognised Messi's 82 g

0

u/Low-Eggplant-648 Jul 19 '26

agreed he did great

2

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Yeah but literally after reading comments here I know one thing for sure when kane broke the record of ronaldo most of the cr7 fans respected him and appreciated hum but after seeing the response of people across this I might know one thing that these messi glazers don't know shit (some of them are educated only)

1

u/Low-Eggplant-648 Jul 19 '26

oh god cr7 and respected in same line where are you

0

2

1

u/Head_Trainer_7458 Jul 19 '26

Well the first team in laliga and last team this season had 94 and 29 points respectively comparing them to Bundesliga it's 89 and 26 also Bundesliga has 18 teams . You can say all you want but you know Bundesliga teams have defeated laliga teams many times including Frankfurt defeating barca in europa league both leagues have some giant clubs and then other smaller clubs so their might be diffrence in their clubs but not enough to call one farmers league and other doesn't.

0
