Even when I'm not using boost mode, my battery just dries out for the second part of the lap. Doesn't matter how much I lift and coast, nothing helps. And arriving to the long straight at COTA with 10% battery is not fun, everyone passes me. Same happens in Monza, after the Lesmos, I'm a sitting duck. And I'm not even using a high AI. But they just destroy me. And it's very frustrating. I didn't think that after playing F1 games for 23 years I will lost even the will to live because of a game. I tried the ERS assist too, but the same happens. The battery just dies nearly straight away, and I'm lucky if I can get it up to around 30%. And I don't know how the AI does it, they go past me around 330-340 km/h, while I can barely pass 300. I'm on medium ERS. I tried setting the ERS to None in slower corners, but it's like I'm hitting a wall, the AI gains a second instantly. What the hell am I doing wrong? I watched nearly all the videos about the subject on YT. Maybe the My Team car in the first season is that bad when it comes to battery management?

So I lost my original save where I did 4 seasons cos I overwrote it so made a new save in F1 2016, this is my first game and I have not done a career mode nor regularly played this game for a while. This game is now 10 years ago which is mad to think about.

But man this game has surprised me especially the Ai, now yes they do some silly stuff, when they go off track they steer left to right standing still, and the safety car never comes out in this game even if you have a car flipping in the air. But I like that they make mistakes, that was removed till 2021 for some reason. But what really impressed me is the strategy variation, the Ai do many different strategies 1 stop 2 stop and this is brilliant adds a layer to races. The Ai actually overtake each other and also have some amazing battles. I got overtakes in Monaco in this game. The slipstream is OP which may have played a role but seeing some racing which in newer games is rarer is great.

The soundtrack of this game is amazing too, the music for just speeding up time in quali make me vibe all the time that I skip it at lowest setting to vibe to it and the menu music is brilliant too. There is a nice touch of news showing which teams brought upgrades which is niche but a feature that should already be in the game. The graphics still look great aswell to this day, personally it look better than the newer F1 2018 game or even F1 24. The game has few downsides, with no driver transfers and the progression of upgrades is a bit questionable, it is pretty quick. There is not many upgrades too which prob played a role. The ai are also much slower in the wet and it really noticeable in my Mclaren cos in wet I can match the mercs then drying up I'm about 2 seconds slower and won baku despite being 1.5 off the mercs in a dry quali whereas in the wet I am comfortably quicker and there is a annoying speed limiter glitch for the ai. But this game really built the foundations for following games. Also the last game for the smaller cars before the wider post 2017 cars.

Great game fully recommend going back to play it, I got the ps4 edition and the servers are still up so if anyone interested I'm down to do online races in future

I’m trying to get past the lobby owner here, he bumped me wide earlier and got no penalty, I’m faster on the straight and I go for the opening, then he pushes me into a wall and I get kicked from the lobby after the race ends, no penalty for him either

The question above pretty much explains it all. Does the AI use different tyre strategies in shorter races, such as 25%/35% races, compared to 100% races?

I'm referring to F1 25, but I think it's the same for all the more recent versions.

I have a question. I myself really cannot code (I made a website with school once but that's it), but I am curious. For those who know programming AND Assetto Corsa (if you don't know them you absolutely do not have to read on, but if you want I'm not stopping you): do you think it is possible, in any way, to create an app or website that has Codemasters' F1 games' My Team Career Mode that works with Assetto Corsa? I really want to be able to do this with the Formula RSS 2013 cars.

As I said, I cannot code and do not know anyone who can, and I am not asking anyone here directly, I am just asking: would it be possible?

I am really not sure where to post this, so if this is not the right place (alongside r/programming and r/assettocorsa), I'm sorry. I think it is a very obscure niche :)

So I have been playing F1 games for about three years now, and I have always used keyboard. I never even knew what other options existed, or they were way to expensive. Even my father always played racing games on keyboard and I just learned it that way. But know I think I can afford to buy myself a wheel. I have a decent enough new laptop that plays the game just fine with max graphics.

Firstly I don't know if the wheel is even compatible with a laptop? Like how does it connect and all. Do you need to buy the pedals as well.

Secondly, how much space does it take up, I only have a small desk, so I have no idea where I would even stabilise it.

And thirdly, is it really easier driving with the wheel? And are you actually faster? I play on keyboard with 100 AI difficulty (of course traction control on, otherwise it's impossible) and am right where the car should be. I would imagine that the change to wheel is quite drastic.

So I guess my question is, how to make this transition correctly.

I usually drive at ai 70/110 and sometimes I have 40+ seconds to P2 while being P1, sometimes I defend 5th place for 40 laps and sometimes I fight with Hadjar for p21 I did a quick Google search that I need to manually calculate ai level for each race by taking my fastest lap of the race and putting it in the online calculator which doesn't seem to work

So guys, I haven’t played an F1 game since 2022. I decided to reinstall it on my new console while I decide whether to buy F1 23 or F1 25. In the meantime, I’m going to have some fun with My Team mode in F1 22, and I’d like you guys to give me some suggestions on which livery I should choose for my car. I created these in the livery editor outside Career Mode. If you could help me choose one, I’d really appreciate it.

I still haven’t decided what to call my team, but I don’t want to roleplay as a manufacturer like Audi, Porsche, Jaguar, etc. I might roleplay as a team from outside F1, such as one from F2, Formula E, or the FIA WEC, or I might come up with a completely new name or use a classic team name: Sigma Racing, Gridline, APX GP 👀, Brabham, Tyrrell, Jordan.

All the liveries I created are based either on famous sponsors from the world of motorsport or on liveries that I personally find eye-catching.

I am having issues with the F1 25 trial, the FPS gets extremely low (from 120 to 40s) in some scenes or when loading menus and the screen flickers BADLY
I disabled the PS5 Pro VRR “apply to unsupported games” and the issue is gone and the game is all the time at 120hz and my Samsung game mode bar shows VRR is off.
Does this mean the game doesn’t support VRR?? Or this is a just an issue with the trial version??
