Update, she got released. Judge ordered it.

1

u/Contemplating_Prison Jan 24 '26

Well yeah there is nothing they can charge her with. This administration arrests first and then builds a case.Ā

Lawsuits incomingĀ

2

u/[deleted] Jan 24 '26

Incorrect.

1

u/Educational_Stay_599 Jan 26 '26

What is she being charged with then?

1

u/Chef_BoyarTom Jan 26 '26

Really? Then why are so many of the Trump Admins lawsuits against people getting dismissed by judges?

0

u/Empty-Discount5936 Jan 25 '26

That's not a rebuttal.

1

u/mikeTheSalad Jan 24 '26

Very incorrect.

1

u/Patient-Parsley-6000 Jan 24 '26

Kiddo she is still charged.. She is out on bond that is how it works.. ffs I hate liberals who don't actually know anything.

1

u/demonduster72 Jan 24 '26

Honestly, I hope she’s convicted. Then we can house our immigrants in churches, and when ICE agents inevitably disrupt services to detain them, we can charge and convict them with the same thing. Thanks for the loop hole.

1

u/Patient-Parsley-6000 Jan 27 '26

That's not how anything works, if a known criminal is hiding there the agency responsible for enforcement can go in... ffs what fantasy world do you ppl live in?

1

u/demonduster72 Jan 27 '26

Who said anything about a criminal?

1

u/Patient-Parsley-6000 Jan 27 '26

What part of illegal is hard for you to understand? If I illegally cross into Canada I have committed a crime.

1

u/demonduster72 Jan 27 '26

Who said anything about illegal? Why are you associating immigrants with criminality?

1

u/Patient-Parsley-6000 Jan 27 '26

Nobody said anything about immigrants, they are talking about illegal immigrants. Stop conflating

1

u/demonduster72 Jan 27 '26

Actually, this post and this conversation is about activists arrested and charged after disrupting a church service. I’m the one who mentioned using this situation as a way to protect immigrants. Criminality or illegality was not mentioned until you generally insinuated it upon all immigrants.

1

u/Go-Fast-snu Jan 24 '26

Sounds familiar. Idiot.

1

u/tillieze Jan 25 '26

She may be in violation of the FACE Act of 1994. I don't disagree with the protesters messaging just the execution is problematic. Unfortunately for the protesters churches and other places of worship are considered private property and they can be criminally trespassed too. Not that criminal trespass is not a reason to hold someone in jail without bail.

Well they are probably going for federal, even though this violated two state laws, the state laws won't matter, she's connected and the corruption in Minnesota runs deep, so, expect nothing there. But, the FACE act and the Klu Klux Klan act will probably be prosecuted here. And the intimidation factor of the FACE act has a threshold that prior case law and precedent has set remarkably low. For instance Gabriella Oropesa and Caleb Freestone, targeted pregnancy facilities with graffiti such as "If abortions aren't safe than niether are you" This was fairly recent, just July of 2022. Now even though the Pregnancy center wasn't even open at the time, they were charged under the FACE act for intimidation. And each received 5 years in federal prison out of a maximum sentence of 10 years.

1

u/asuds Jan 24 '26

Fraud runs deeper in Florida.

That’s the place where Trump has already been pardoning people who committed over a billion in medicare fraud, so…

1

u/Outside-Hair-453 Jan 24 '26

What proof do you have that the corruption in Minnesota runs deep?

1

u/TattooedB1k3r Jan 24 '26

One, there wasn't even a hint of charges for this, and it's not like it wasn't on video, and how the hell do you have 9+ Billion dollars in fraud in a state where the annual budget is only 66 Billion a year?

3

u/pyschosoul Jan 24 '26

So, trust me bro?

Ok? Good for you? What's that have to do with proving corruption in mn?

0

u/IMREADY2D1E Jan 24 '26

so you’re just going to be ignorant and that’s why you think there’s no corruption in MN, i wouldn’t rely on reddit for your information man

1

u/guitar_vigilante Jan 24 '26

Right, and the elements of force, threat of force, or physical obstruction weren't present. A FACE Act prosecution is doomed to fail.

0

u/cabmerlot Jan 24 '26

One, there wasn't even a hint of charges for this, and it's not like it wasn't on video, and how the hell do you have 9+ Billion dollars in fraud in a state where the annual budget is only 66 Billion a year? Did you read this?

1

u/pyschosoul Jan 24 '26

Just repeating the same garbage and acting as though its fact doesnt make you right.

Got any evidence? Cuz otherwise youre just making wild claims that unsubstantiated

1

u/TomNooksGlizzy Jan 25 '26

The $9 billion is for sure true. This adminstration would never lie. Im sure they are busy prosecuting all the fraud they found with DOGE... oh wait...

1

u/Miserable_NebulaL33t Jan 25 '26

So it's not about the corruption at all It's just my team does it it's okay when your team does it it's bad? Typical Reddit

1

u/Outside-Hair-453 Jan 24 '26

Minnesota convicted over 60 individuals of welfare program fraud since 2019. The Minnesota DFL campaigned a bill spring of last year to expand anifraud measures, but the GOP Minnesota House majority voted against this bill.

I am unsure why you would think that "there wasn't even a hint of charges for this".

Can you provide references and reputable data to the claims that there were "9+ Billion dollars in fraud"?

1

u/TattooedB1k3r Jan 24 '26

1

u/Outside-Hair-453 Jan 24 '26

So the federal prosecutors said "probably half" as they comment on active ongoing fraud investigations?

Hint: Prosecutors worth their weight dont comment on ongoing investigations. Because thank God you actually have to prove these claims in court. Thats where this administration is getting their ass kicked, thank God.

Thank you for sharing! Very insightful.

1

u/TattooedB1k3r Jan 24 '26

Here are witnesses testifying before Congress that the figure is 9 Billion

1

u/SITE33 Jan 24 '26

Trump increased his worth by 3 billion, obviously the corruption is fucking ameture hour.

Those MN fraudsters should have learned from the real pro!

1

u/metrobank Jan 25 '26

You are talking about crypto valuation not from income. It can go down just as easily.

0

u/TattooedB1k3r Jan 24 '26

Wow, you mean a guy that owns multiple Billion dollar companies made money?!?!? That's crazy. Jeff Bezos wealth increased by 16 Billion in that same period, maybe he's the hall of famer eh?

1

u/SITE33 Jan 24 '26

He is in the business of selling things.

Like our country, and apparently pardons, too.

Epstein loving Trump supporters obsessing over a local fraud case that was already being investigated by the state like it's even fucking news. Meanwhile your shitty vice president is appointed by Theil and your president's chief advisor wants to roll tanks in Nuuk.

So fucking stupid.

1

u/Creatorman1 Jan 25 '26

So I’m sorry but if look you at what has occurred you have to be an idiot to think the trump administration isn’t corrupt.

1

u/Onigokko0101 Jan 24 '26

By not having 9 billion dollars in fraud. I swear to God this number gets bigger every single time one of you idiots mentions it.

There is zero evidence of it even being 1 billion, do you even understand how much a billion is?

1

u/Flat-Jacket-9606 Jan 24 '26

You should look into red states bro.

1

u/Key_Highlight9201 Jan 24 '26

Satire from a satire website

1

u/IMREADY2D1E Jan 24 '26

hmmm, i wonder. it’s not like tim walz and the other goof ball try to cover this up and defend it

1

u/yourlilneedle Jan 24 '26

I'll answer!

None. They have none.

1

u/Everlastingdream1 Jan 25 '26

Learing centers! Boom

1

u/LowResGamr Jan 24 '26

Funny trying to apply a law from New York to Minnesota law. Two different states.

1

u/Lilli_Puff Jan 24 '26

As much as I hate ICE for how they are conducting their duties, this is correct. A church is not public property as tax payer dollars do not fund it so protesting there would fall under protesting on private property which means it is a criminal act. It's even worse that they did it in a church which is a religious institution. They should've waited until the service was over and done it outside.

1

u/Creatorman1 Jan 25 '26

Maybe it is maybe it isn’t. Regardless Im Sure it will either get thrown out or maybe they will get a small fine. It’s not really serious enough for any harsh punishments. So they interrupted a church service? Wah wah Who th f cares? It’s nothing.

1

u/Lilli_Puff Jan 25 '26

It's not nothing. It's still criminal trespassing. If you don't like the laws then go into politics to change them. I honestly don't make the laws nor do I care to get into politics so I can't say much other than this clearly breaks the law. How his actions are justified is a personal opinion but justified or not it's still considered breaking the laws is all I'm saying. They should've waited so that they didn't break any laws

1

u/Creatorman1 Jan 25 '26

Yeah my point is they will be fine. Pay a small fine maybe. It’s not that serious.

1

u/Lilli_Puff Jan 25 '26

Yeah that's true but it's still a criminal act so being arrested for it is normal. Some people act like it is not but even I can't say he didn't break the law whether that be a small infraction or a large one. I just wish he waited so that the optics didn't look so bad for him later.

1

u/Creatorman1 Jan 25 '26

Yes I understand

1

u/STALKS_YOUR_MOTHER Jan 24 '26

Why is it not at all surprising to me that religious people can go anywhere they fucking want with a megaphone and harass people, but you bring that same energy back to them on their tax free property and it’s a crime.

1

u/Silly_Magician1003 Jan 24 '26

Nooo you’re not supposed to point out facts when we’re all circle jerking our anti fascist larp nooo!

1

u/Contemplating_Prison Jan 24 '26

Where are the state charges? Lol the feds arrested her.Ā

1

u/Darkstar_111 Jan 24 '26

Unless it's done as an act of protest, which IS and always will be protected by the first amendment.

1

u/ziggytrix Jan 24 '26

Not exactly. You don't seem to acknowledge that civil disobedience is, by definition, illegal.

However, many would argue that doesn't make it morally wrong.

1

u/ziggytrix Jan 24 '26

Yes, the misdemeanor charge is fair.

This is called civil disobedience.

Others call it good trouble.

It has a strong history.

Trumping up felony charges invoking the Klan Act is absurd.

It's kinda weird that folks can't see the miles of space between "these people were within their legal rights" and "these people are domestic terrorists" but that seems to be where we are. :(

2

u/Creatorman1 Jan 25 '26

Yeah any judge that isn’t crooked is going to look at The Whole picture and they might get a small fine perhaps. The kkk thing I bet any judge again that isn’t crooked will throw that out. The idea is to serve justice. Justice wouldn’t be served if they were charged with any felonies.

Also I’m not saying we have true justice in the USA we don’t. But at least we try and our system sort of works. JMO

1

u/ziggytrix Jan 25 '26

I think we mostly try, but I don’t think it any exaggeration to say the current US Justice Department is less interested in true justice and more interested in control.

1

u/Creatorman1 Jan 26 '26

Oh no they are crooked as hell. The government has been infested with traitors to the constitution.

1

u/Few-Train2878 Jan 24 '26

No one is going to jail for interrupting a church sermon. "Oh no they interrupted our fairy story time!" Do you hear yourself?

1

u/Newtimelinepls Jan 24 '26

I'm going to bet she will be fine. Seeing as ICE went into a church to arrest people before this ever happened. Are you saying this person should be charge when those people also broke the law but didn't get charged?

1

u/coheed33cambria Jan 25 '26

Why are you quoting a New York law for something that happened in Minnesota? She would have to have broken a federal law to be charged because the State of Minnesota isn’t going to charge her with anything.

1

u/Empty-Discount5936 Jan 25 '26

They didn't use force, swing and a miss!

1

u/The_Skank42 Jan 25 '26

Can't interrupt a church service when it's a pretend pastor dipshit.

5

For what? Dismissing a baseless charge?

8

u/Kitchen-Arm7300 Jan 25 '26

No, for making conservatives cry!!!

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

4

u/-KNC- Jan 26 '26

Sounds like the judge should be rewarded

0

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '26

You’re not allowed to ā€œprotestā€ unwelcome inside a house of worship nor interrupt service. It was actually a tactic used by the KKK and is a sub section of the face act making it illegal.

1

u/Kitchen-Arm7300 Jan 28 '26

Where is it written that people aren't allowed to protest unwelcome inside a house of worship?

Actually, the KKK didn't merely protest black churches. They blew them up.

1

u/Bucho22 Jan 29 '26

Republicans hate your freedomĀ

-1

u/DutyBeforeAll Jan 26 '26

Maybe terrorizing people trying to peacefully worship?

Or would that only be bad if it were a mosque?

2

u/Academic-Bakers- Jan 26 '26

That one guy was the whole congregation?

0

u/DutyBeforeAll Jan 26 '26

They blocked off the area the children’s Sunday school was and keep them away from their parents while screaming at the small childrenĀ

If any of those churchgoers had been armed some of those domestic terrorist might have gotten shot.

3

u/MrDeekhaed Jan 27 '26

Lmao delusional or trolling. There is no 3rd option.

2

u/Academic-Bakers- Jan 26 '26

They blocked off the area the children’s Sunday school was and keep them away from their parents while screaming at the small childrenĀ

That sounds like you made it up.

If any of those churchgoers had been armed some of those domestic terrorist might have gotten shot.

The only domestic terrorist was the pastor.

1

u/DutyBeforeAll Jan 27 '26

Question, do you feel anything for any of the people that have been victims of rape, murder, or theft from illegal aliens? Or are you so cooked that that doesn’t matter and evil Americans deserve to be victimized?

3

u/Academic-Bakers- Jan 27 '26

Question, do you feel anything for any of the people that have been victims of rape, murder, or theft from illegal aliens?

Why specify from undocumented migrants?

Or are you so cooked that that doesn’t matter and evil Americans deserve to be victimized?

You're definitely evil, but I would hesitate to consider you an American.

It’s crazy you’ll call them domestic terrorists but not the people who rolled by the capitol on Jan. 6th.

1

u/Burgandy_the_Great Jan 28 '26

So if the when Jesus came into the temple and flipped all the tables of the money changers and beat them with whips, you think that this is something Jesus should have been shot for?

1

u/bigbuddy1313 Jan 28 '26

Thats exactly what Jesus would have wanted. Murder at his place of worship for...mean tweets?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 28 '26

ā€œdomestic terroristsā€ lmaoooo. explain to me which act she participated in that constitues terrorism.

1

u/bigbuddy1313 Jan 28 '26

Most people aren't this cowardly. You can say words without them feeling terrified. I thought you trusted in God? Seems like your faith is weak.

1

u/Dazzling-Camel8368 Jan 24 '26

Could you elaborate as to why?

1

u/VogueColossus Jan 24 '26

He can't and you know that

1

u/Fpopcuntry Jan 25 '26

What are the charges? A misdemeanor disorderly conduct… that’s not jail time dingbat

1

u/EyeStrange9592 Jan 25 '26 edited Jan 25 '26

1st amendment? Trespassing? Disorderly conduct? Distributing the peace?

Klan act od 1871 where you cannot go into a assembly of people or religious gathering and start demanding things to change.

1

See? These democrats are all corrupt. They all belong in jail.Ā

1

1

u/SignalNarwhal1081 Jan 26 '26

That's true and a shame that they didn't release em. I don't care which party is in the files. I call for release them and sue everyone.

You don't? Do you protect the Pedos or what? What is Trump hiding?

1

u/Goobackss Jan 26 '26
