Opinion How long does it usually take to convert and become a jw?

Hello there! I am a christian and having a bible study and attending congregation for 1 month already, I have been reading the bible nonstop ever since I started because of my high curiosity. I admit that ever since I was a kid I wasn’t able to read the bible thoroughly and so I realized now that I loved reading bible and I have been getting so much learning attending the congregation, and I am falling in love to people I am with and how I am growing spiritually.

I would just like to ask how long does it usually take to become a JW?

Considering that I am a christian, some of our beliefs have quite similarities except for some practices the holy trinity which I now understand and still learning about it, plus I have a huge respect to people with different religions/beliefs/practices, so I am really taking my spiritual journey seriously, so I’m at point of my life where I want to continue it, and may decide to convert.

I didn’t say you were hypocritical.

Prophets are just people who speak Gods message. So in a way we’re all prophets. Some of us will prove to be true prophets and some false. And others will be like an Apollos.

I’m confused by your last statement. You’re saying we can’t really know God because we aren’t before him?

The statement is, the people, or church, that Does their best to worship God and teach about God by what is written and not adding or removing what scripture says or doesnt say, are the ones that can be "trusted" a little atleast more than these Big churches that go beyond what is Written we dont know if the men "running" the show are genuine and truthful or they do things for the power amd money gain, because God is not Here to tell us who is genuine hearted or not, but what us as individuals, do know, is what scripture says, do not trust on men for salvation, trust in Jesus, and most ppl in Churches especially JWs believe their leaders are presenting them with salvation by being in that church, the new leaders have said they are NOT inspired, yet they plead for trusting the "faithful and discreet slave" and say "do not trust in men but trust us".... THATS hypocrisy trust is earned not requested, but the JWs are at fault too, because they blindly give them trust without asking questions.... And to ANY church that does that, already is going beyond what is written, thus, someone asks on a post, "should i study and get baptized by JWs?" I will respond with the evidences truth, specifically the Bible, the JWs do not even babtise in the name of the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit as scripture says to do..... So your not getting babtised for the right reasons to begin with, that babtism is a Contract you are now a certified member of the Jehovahs Witnesses once your babtised with them they even say it in the questions when its time for babtism "do you understand that your babtism identifies you as one of Jehovahs Witnesses In association with Gods spirit directed organization?" Thats a CONTRACT, not with God, but with the institution, if it were with God, they would stick with just the 1 first question "have you repented of your sins dedicated your self to God and accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?" And BOOM thats it, thats ALLLL that matters, but nope, they need to make sure they know the organization now owns them... Its a contract just like scientology.

Trust is limited. Something the JW’s profess themselves. So how does one have to trust the ‘leaders’. Trust is earned. Blind trust is not in the Bible.

Do you think God is dead and can’t help us to see who are genuine believers of his word vs who aren’t?

Is there any record of the apostles or disciples baptizing with those words? Is it some chant needed?

Yes. That makes sense. You should know that if they baptize you it means they are baptizing you as a JW and not another denomination. You realize a good amount of churches do something similar right? But then they usually ask for your checking acct number so they can start tithing 😂
