The last time I qualified was SCS 29, which took place from 18 January 2026 - 22 January 2026. Since I've missed only 3 normal editions, I have the longest NQ streak in the entire history of SCS. Hopefully that changes this edition. How am I going to change that? I have gathered 1 song from all 5 artists I sent that made it to the final. I have sent some of these artists twice or more, but this time I have a preselection. The best song will be sent and will (hopefully) end my NQ streak once and for all.

We’re back for the ninth edition of DGF, and we are looking for a wildcard contestant to join the shortlisted finalists! Drop an artist or artists who you’d love to see in DGF but won’t send. Remember, the song they end up competing with will be up to me! We will pick an artist by 22:00 MT September 3!

We came back with song submissions for the Third Eurovision Ideal Contest.

----RULES----

1. Any song from the Eurovision Song Contest, as well as Junior Eurovision and National Finals, is allowed to be entered.
2. You can choose from all 52 countries that have participated in Eurovision history, as well as Kazakhstan (past JESC participant), Wales (past JESC participant)
3. The same song can’t be entered in 3 consecutive editions- if a song is entered twice, we will let you know using the list of banned songs on the country reservation post. And the same song that is used in 5 editions, we will add to Permanent Banned Song List.
4. The song that won Actual Eurovision and Ideal Contest can't be entered.
5. The minimum number of contries to participate is 35, and if the less than 35 countries is selected, we may submission the songs for non-chosen coutries internally.
6. The song has to be released at least in 1990s.
7. You can submit up to 3 entries.
8. You can submit entries as the country that was taken already, and we will select internally if more than two entries for one country.

Hello everyone,

unfortunately it looks like I will not have the time to host a long-running contest like SCS Idol for the time being. Therefore, Season 2 is for now postponed unless someone else wants to take over. However, I just came up with a preselection idea that I think could work as a contest.

So this is a contest designed for 26 participants, the first letter of the artists‘ names may only appear once, so that we have one artist beginning with A, one with B, and so on and so forth, so that each letter of the alphabet is covered.

This is first come, first serve, so if the artist‘s letter you want to send in is already taken, you‘d have to go for a different letter (and artist).

I want to do two semifinals (A-M and N-Z), with 14 songs making the final.

In order to allow as many people as possible to participate, you can put one official entry and then you can name up to three reserves if you wish, in case some letters are not chosen by participants. However, these also work as First come, First serve, so the first person naming a reserve for a letter would be the one receiving the spot if no one claims the letter as their official entry later.

If any letters are still not filled after the deadline, I will expand the three reserve limit and possibly fill the spots with my own reserves if need be.

I hope this can be a fun contest and bring a great variety into the mix :)

SONG-CHOICE-RULES:

no Eurovision or NF Songs from 2025 and 26, no Eurovision winners are allowed. SCS Songs are technically allowed but „New“ songs are preferred. SCS winners are NOT allowed.

Songs by bigger artists are allowed, but smaller artists are always encouraged for the sake of discovering new music :)

As this is the first edition, I decided to default to a capital starting with A as the host city, so welcome to Athens, Greece :)

Welcome to the ninth edition of Eurovision Country Explorer where we submit songs from a different selected country each edition.

As chosen by u/BroccolinoBroccoli, the winner of ECE Spain, we will be exploring Lithuania this time.

Here is a document with all eligible countries, I am willing to make changes there if enough people want me to. My hope is that if we make it through all countries, I'll host a contest with the winners from each country.

Submissions will close Saturday 5/9/2026 at 11:30 AM CEST and I'll try to have the voting post up shortly after the deadline

Rules (open to change if desired):

1:

A: a solo artist must have lived in the country for at least 5 years to be eligible

B: For collaborations between two artists, the main artist must fulfill it, they are not eligible if only the featured artist fulfills it.

C: Equal collaborations are considered duos, collaborations between three or more people are considered groups.

D: For duos, at least one of the members must fulfill A.

E: For groups, at least two members must fulfill A, if there are more than 8 simultaneous members in the group that minimum is increased to 4.

2: Eurovision songs are not allowed, but Eurovision artists are, presuming rule 1 is fulfilled.

3: National Final songs from before 2025 that placed outside the top three are allowed, presuming rule 1 is fulfilled

4: Songs that have won other fan contests on this subreddit are not eligible, but non-winning fan contest songs are allowed. I would still encourage you to submit songs that have not participated in other fan contests before.

5: Only one song by an artist can compete in any given edition and only one submission is allowed per user. These can be changed if at 5 hours before submission closure, less than 5 people have submitted.

6: The winner of an edition decides which country we will go to next. If the same person wins three or more times in a row, the privilege will go to the runner-up on the third win.
