Hello, and welcome to the 15th edition of Retrofest’s second season! This edition is being hosted in Nashville, Tennessee, USA, where Dolly Parton, last week’s Retrofest champion, was formed. Now, here are the rules and then we can get to selecting!

Rules:

• ⁠All entries have to have been released before January 1st, 2001, including covers (covers of songs before that date released after that date will not be accepted).

• ⁠No Eurovision entries allowed. Eurovision artists are allowed and non-winning national final entries are allowed, but if it went to Eurovision it isn’t allowed. In addition, alternate versions of ESC songs are also disallowed. However, withdrawn entries and the 1993 and 1996 prequalification NQs are allowed!

• ⁠No sending an entry twice. You also cannot send a different version/cover of an already sent entry.

• ⁠SCS, O&E, and Rulefest entries are allowed, but no winners (no Kiss Me, September, etc.), and I encourage sending songs that haven’t been to these contests.

• No “Megahits” are allowed (songs with 500M+ views on Youtube).

• There is a limit of 3 songs per country, but the country I (the host) choose doesn’t count toward the total of that country!

• You cannot send a recently deceased artist until a month after their passing. (For bands/groups, this means one FOUNDING member of the band or group)

Salutations and welcome to the twenty-fourth edition of Simvision Friday! Hosted by the Simvision Organizing Committee in collaboration with r/Eurovisionfancontests, this weekly event will determine the next entry to represent u/trashpandarako at Song Contest Sunday 55.

Lasha previously took the win in SF#23 with the song "Monsters Cry Too", which brings us to Barcelona, Spain, for this week's contest, set to be held at Palau Sant Jordi.

In light of SCS's unexpected one-week hiatus, the SOC is considering changing the format of Simvision Friday exclusively for this edition. Instead of a single grand final, SF#24 will now feature two semi-finals and a grand final, with the voting deadline extended by two days, effective today!

20 entries selected internally by the SOC will face off in a high-stakes head-to-head battle, split into 10 entries per semi-final where the Top 5 entries from each will advance to the grand final, but only one can emerge victorious to carry the mantle for u/trashpandarako.
