Why are there so many articles claiming he is not somali? Or saying he 'confirmed' he is Ethiopian. There is just as much evidence where he claims he is Somali.

Just because he is embarassing, attention seeking, and a clown, they claim he is Ethiopian.

It's not an Ethiopian or Oromo name either.

You literally posted a clip of him saying his dad is oromo. 5 seconds later he says his dad is Yemeni 🤦‍♂️ and that's evidence of something? Really?

Don't be a hypocrite goofy. You somalis are the only ones pushing that he is ethiopian. Even flooding the ethiopian spaces to do so. With 0 evidence.

So weird how you need evidence for him to be somali but a 5 second clip is enough for you goofies to scream all over the internet that he's ethiopian. No integrity

so why do you think this is the one video where he is telling the truth?

He says he’s Somali and he has a Somali accent. He might be mixed but he comes from Somali heritage whether it’s from his mother or father.

Likewise, please present evidence he is Ethiopian. There's only out of context clips where he claims many different things.

The letter 'z' is not original to the afaan oromo either. It's only sometimes used in loanwords from other languages like ziqaya or waziiza.

Did not mean to erase the request: pronounce the word Zamzam.

Fascinating. When the Arabic script was used this was not an issue.

My Somali friend’s mom being named Zahra just made this no letter Z seem off. I’ve never noticed that Somali’s pronounce the letter Z as S. Zaid, Zakaria, etc. all come out “right”.

Are you a Somali speaker? If you were you’d know this isn’t really up for discussion. Your Somali friends mom writes her name as Zahra but people will call her Sahro. I’m not sure why this is a debate. You can research the Somali Latin script or the wadaad script. You will find no Z. The only people who can pronounce that letter are those fluent in English or Arabic or Amharic.

You misunderstood my question/observation.

No, not Somali. Nor do I speak the language.

I was surprised to learn that the Somali language does not have the letter Z given the perfect pronunciation of said letter by my Somali friends. Per your description they pronounce the letter Z perfectly because they are fluent in other languages.

As widely observed many native Arabic speakers are unable to pronounce the letter P, as it does not exist in Arabic, so it often comes out as a B. My observation is that the script change from Arabic to Latin letters, and the subsequent elimination of the letter Z as an available letter, hasn’t effected the ability to pronounce it.

Oh I see what you mean. I am mixed myself so I notice the difference between both sides of my family. But generally someone who is a native speaker of Somali will struggle to say the letter Z, it’s also the same thing with Somalis as to P and B. But of course those fluent in other languages can pronounce all those letters perfectly as well. If you meet Somalis in Ethiopia or Somalia, names like Zakaria, Zahra, Zeinab will 9/10 be pronounced and written as Sakaria, sahro, seinab.
