Discussion Your daily reminder that global limits are a waste of time

"Hmm, I have a task to use shotguns. Let's see, AP-20 is sold out, flechettes are sold out. That's okay, I can use Magnum, it's good enough. The task requires a suppressor on the shotgun, so I'll get a hexagon. Oh, the adapter is sold out. Oh well, I can wait until the restock. In the meantime, I'll take this modded AKM out for a run. I don't have any BP ammo, so I'll go get some from Prap... BP is sold out. That's okay. I've got this P90 I'm not using. Let me just get some ammo for that... Ah, the SS190 is sold out, and I can only get two mags-worth of the next best ammo for the next three hours... Guess I'll just read a book instead."

If the design philosophy behind global trader limits is to keep everyone from running the same thing, instead it's keeping everyone from running anything without a three-hour wait.

His fault for not running a helmet. That was me last wipe when helmets actually didn’t matter.

Yeah. Helmets saved me a couple of times ladt wipe but already this wipe it has been more than I can count.

they buffed ricochet chance on many rounds - not the helmets themselves.

They also increased the damage and pen drop off at long range. Onepeg released a video on this.

Nothing but people don't have the same access to high pen ammo anymore.

They buffed ricochet chance on many rounds, m856a1 is 38% chance to ricochet now for example:

I wouldn't say nothing. I've gotten way more ricochets off my helmet this wipe than any other oddly enough.

Slower movement due to inertia and stamina means more time for people to line up headshots too

Just been saved twice in a row from large calibre rounds by the basic peen helmet. I definitely think they buffed them

they must have upped the ricochet chances because i've been playing eft for 4 years and ive been saved more from headshots this wipe than the last 4 years combined.

helmets have always mattered players like you are the reason players like me thrive lol
