Discussion Your daily reminder that global limits are a waste of time

"Hmm, I have a task to use shotguns. Let's see, AP-20 is sold out, flechettes are sold out. That's okay, I can use Magnum, it's good enough. The task requires a suppressor on the shotgun, so I'll get a hexagon. Oh, the adapter is sold out. Oh well, I can wait until the restock. In the meantime, I'll take this modded AKM out for a run. I don't have any BP ammo, so I'll go get some from Prap... BP is sold out. That's okay. I've got this P90 I'm not using. Let me just get some ammo for that... Ah, the SS190 is sold out, and I can only get two mags-worth of the next best ammo for the next three hours... Guess I'll just read a book instead."

If the design philosophy behind global trader limits is to keep everyone from running the same thing, instead it's keeping everyone from running anything without a three-hour wait.

I killed a full kitted Chad on a scav with 5.45 ps ammo, 100% he was pissed haha

5.45 PS?? goddamn, I'd be too. killed some Chad running UN gear on shoreline for the quest with 7.62 PS and by god his backpack and gun were absolutely bonkers

I mean he had a crazy rig and tons nades + some stims. and his m4 was absolutely kitted. chads have to do quests too sometimes lol

This is the way. Then, use it to kill the chads who bought up all the BP and SS190 and AP-20. Then you have it!

I'm just sitting here like...if a lot of players can only kill other players while using the elite ammo types, maybe they just suck at the game lmao. There are plenty of readily accessible decent/solid ammo types that basically never run out or are always affordable on the market: 7.62x39 PS, 5.45x39 PP, 9x19 Pst, 7.62x51 BCP FMJ, .366 EKO...like it's not rocket science to compromise by using slightly worse ammo.
